Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaIt was great, never had a problem with a thing. Maybe a cheaper rate but who doesn't like to save a buck or two! Otherwise, David and Michael, the owners where kind and helpful when we arrived. Thank you!
Absolutely stunning!! Fabulous place with total comfort, a home away from home. Loved the privacy and hot tub after a cold day at the rinks. Quiet and peaceful with starry nights. Clean and comfy lodge.

CanadaEverything was perfect!
Woodhaven has two lovely cottages on Passamaquoddy Bay between St. Stephen's and St. Andrew's in New Brunswick. Sparky, my four-legged traveling companion, and I are on a 4-month Epic Adventure Across North America. We took a break from exploring and spent our second day enjoying our little seaside cottage. The ocean view frequently distracted me from my book, and Sparky insisted on a walk on the beach but otherwise, it was a wonderfully lazy day. Later in the afternoon my genial hosts, David McKinstry, and Michael Rattenbury, were busy rebuilding the railing on their main deck. With a glass of wine in hand I offered helpful suggestions and I think my comments were sincerely appreciated. (Or perhaps not.) I highly recommend Woodhaven Country Lodge. It's fabulous! And Michael and David are fabulous too.

United StatesThe online photos don’t do the Suite A justice. It’s a daylight basement, not a basement. The hot tub could be listed.
I loved everything and everybody. Michael and David are professionals; as a result, Suite A was well stocked, and it was easy to made myself at home. David was right on it for a tiny hiccup. The view of the water and the sunset are phenomenal. There is no noise..I’d go back anytime that I’d be in New Brunswick. Sometimes the GPS recognized the address Murray Lane as St. David’s. Pretty, sweet, comforting, peaceful. Rent this suite!:).

CanadaYou can take a stroll by the shore but you can't swim there because of seaweeds and other things floating around. It's a steep hill going down to the water so I'm not sure how you would get a canoe down there but this is more of an information then a dislike. Also the water filtration system in the master bedroom has a bit of a smell because it's filtrating the well water but non of it is a good enough reason to not to go there. It's beautiful and peaceful.
It is a beautiful, quiet location, surrounded by nature. The view from the porch is right on the Oak Bay. You can hear loons at dusk. The cottage is very specious and clean. They have a dryer, washing machine, full kitchen with appliances/dishes,, a fire pit outside and a jacuzzi on a back deck. It is very pet friendly with the space around the cottage gated in so if you have a dog you don't have to worry about it running off. The whole set up is very cozy. We went there with our 1yo and a 6 yo kids and they loved it. We also went whale watching at St. Andrew and it is only 20 mins away.

CanadaI'm am not one to complain, took me a couple days to convince myself to write a review and I finally decide I should because I don't want anyone else to live what we had to experienced We booked through booking.com "the guest house", but when we got there, we didn't get the guest house instead we got the Seaview suite, that was in the basement of the owner’s house. I looked at the booking information to make sure it wasn't a mistake on my part. When we asked the owners, they told us that we indeed booked the guest house but it wasn't their fault, they told us to blame booking.com. So instead of enjoying the guest house with a Hot tub, a deck, a view of the ocean we ended up in a basement... In addition, on the booking information the price said it included the taxes but they charged our credit card the price + taxes. Didn't approach them on that matter because like I said not one to complain and we expected that they would say it's booking.com’s fault.
The location was beautiful.
