Breakfast at 35 dollars even if you only take a coffee and croissant is not value for money. If you only like a light breakfast order in the bar inside downstairs. 2 coffees and 4 croissants under 10 dollar. Much better.

It's a pleasant hotel all be it expensive for European standard but you get what you pay for in Kinshassa. Nice swimming pool and bar area.

Housekeeping: Towels would be replaced on some days and others they wouldn't so that inconsistency was confusing. The shower mixers in the bathroom wouldn't regulate well so it would either be too hot or too cold. I needed to send something into the laundry and the laundry bag and form were missing from the closet. Eventually someone brought the bag. It would also be useful to have at least one multi-lingual staff member at all the restaurants.

Breakfast was OK. The main dining room is extremely busy in the morning and many of the buffet items (there was quite a wide variety) were finished and not being replaced. I found the tables and floor quite dirty which ruined my appetite. As we were departing the hotel at 5 am in the morning, the hotel prepared a boxed breakfast for us which was very nicely packaged with coffee, yoghurt, fruit and pastries. Unfortunately there were no spoons, forks or napkins included! The front office desk had very friendly and bi-lingual staff who were always ready to help. I did get irritated that my key card for my room had to be activated daily. And this was despite the fact that it was nowhere near my mobile phone which does affect its efficacy. The rooms are well appointed and spacious and the showers have excellent pressure.

Despite a confirmed booking and double checking with the hotel, arrived and was advised the hotel was fully booked for our first night and we were moved to a sister hotel and back the next morning. Not convenient at all.

The internet connection was below my expectations. Lack of organized promotional tours from the hotel to the city.

Language barrier..... If you don’t speak French you will struggle. I don’t, and very few staff speak English. That did cause some problems, but they were worked through. Housekeeping failed to replenish my towels, I didn’t notice until I had stepped out of the shower... not happy about that bit. My final day was annoyingly frustrating, I had a very late flight and some work to do for the client in the afternoon. Checkout time is 12:00 so I paid and extra USD $100 for a late check out up to 17:00. I was pestered by phone, frequently from 12:00 onwards as to when I was leaving with one non-English speaking receptionist unable to understand that I had already paid the extra. When I returned to the hotel after meeting the client, my room key had been cancelled, so I had to explain and then get it opened again, and then another phone call around 16:20 was the final straw so I handed back the key and went for a long lunch before my transport to the airport. (not the fault of the hotel, but beware of local curfews if travelling in from the airport. My flight landed late and we encountered multiple roadblocks and checkpoints.)

The location was perfect for my purposes, very close to the clients office. The staff are very friendly, restaurants on site serve superb food. I highly recommend the pizza restaurant. Good wine is available by the glass but quite expensive by the bottle. Complimentary water is provided in the rooms as the tap water is not drinkable. The overall room and bathroom size is good with plenty of hot water available.

1. I am surprised that for such an internation hotel, very few of the staff can speak English. 2. Did not get value for money as hotel is very expensive and on top of that, I had to pay for the breakfast as it was not included in the USD 300+/night room rate. 3. Was shocked at the state and fullness of the gym - it was impossible to use! 4. Better cocktail maker/waiter is needed at the bars - most of the cocktails were just not good!

Mostly the location and the ambience at the Poolside restaurant. I actually like the idea of the different eating places/restaurants at the hotel.

No room service on the second day (room not cleaned). Shuttle service back to the airport. It was 1/2 hour late. The groom who accompanied me back to the airport offered to get my go pass for me. I accepted and realized afterwards that he overcharged me by 10% above the official price.
