How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The rooms are tiny. We paid for early check in but we had to argue with the staff to be able to check in early as they said the room was not ready in time.
The breakfast buffet and location are good. The pool area is beautiful. The staff keep your suitcases safely for you if you have time between check out and your flight. The staff will make an effort to communicate with you in English if you are struggling with your French. The bathroom was clean, with a really nice shower

The atms kept being broken
I loved the dining options including the pool bar. The staff was phenomenal and accommodated my group of 13. They went above and beyond to take care of all of our needs. I would definitely recommend anyone staying here. The rooms were nice and comfortable and the hotel itself was very upscale.

I was traveling for business and my flight was in the evening. The checkout was at 12 and I asked for an extension of three hours before I had to go to the airport and it was not possible. I would have liked a bid more flexibility or the possibility of a late checkout.
The location is good, if you work at Abidjan Plateau. The room was really nice, the design, the colors, everything. The seventh floor with the swimming pool and two bars invites you to sit and spend time. The payments can be done by card or there is also an ATM downstairs.

I ordered airport transfer to be arranged by the hotel (via messages thru the Booking app) but the car/driver never showed up while it was confirmed by hotel staff. When I reported this, hotel staff were less than interested...

The rooms are a bit small. Some finishings could be improved such as leaky shower, wobbly curtain and towel rail for example. The gym is a bit small.
The location is very good with great views. The bar is great and good food also. The room is clean and comfortable.

The staff could have been warmer.
The breakfast was enjoyable and the location was great with a couple of restaurants and supermarkets around. There’s also a bar and spa on the property plus a great view of the Lagoon and the city.

The elevator was in worrying conditions-needs better maintenance services. We stay there for just one Saturday night and the elevator was stucked 2 times. First time we had to walk upstairs from 7 floors to 10 floors, second time we were actually inside the elevator. (We checking at Sat. afternoon and checkout at Sun. noon) Also, the swimming pool doesn't have a room to change swimming suit, people have to change it in the toilet. Furthermore, the welcoming fruits and chocolates was arrived quite late (at around 8 pm) and brought by a staff to your room. Shouldn't it be done before client entered the room? By the way, the internet was unable to accessed during the whole time of our stay.
The view of swimming pool is impeccable.

Breakfast was poor for the value! Please make an effort on this point. People need to start the day without frustration; very very sensitive for customer satisfaction. I invited a senior leader for breakfast, I did know. I had to present my apologies.
