Beautiful apartment with great views. Very comfortable. It is located in the heart of Muri and is wonderful value if you are prepared for a small walk down towards the main road and beach. Simon is very accommodating and a great host. Thanks for letting us borrow snorkeling equipment!

Simon and Denise were great. Simon picked us up from the airport, gave us a few pointers as we drove to the accommodation and then showed us to our room and explained everything on arrival. They left a TV with lots of movies for us to watch during our stay, which we ended up doing a little of due to the weather. The apartment had everything we needed, the laundry was a bonus and the pool area was very cute with the ability to have a bbq by the pool. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely be back

I loved that the bed room was separate from the living and kitchen area. I loved the view from my room and the front patio. I loved that the kitchen had a full fridge freezer and I loved the pool. Loved that Simon was always onsite maintaining the pool and the grounds

Our Muri Retreat apartment completely exceeded our expectations. It was equipped with everything one would want and much thought had been applied to its design and layout. Very comfortable in an excellent location set a short distance back from the road and sea shore with a view out over the Pacific Ocean. The small shared swimming pool was well maintained and perfect for a quick dip at any time. Good WiFi signal at a small extra cost.

Unfortunately there were a lot of insects in my apartment (Onu). I know it's hard to avoid this on a tropical island, but it spoiled my experience a little bit. Otherwise this place would be a 10.

The fact we didn't stay longer.

I have stayed here before but this time was exceptional. Simon went above and beyond to make our stay welcoming and relaxing. This visit was like coming home and we will definitely be back. Muri Retreat is a beautiful place to stay in this Rarotongan paradise.

It is not possible to walk there from the main road with a luggage (gravel roads).

Simon and Denise were amazing, flexible, provided insights. We were able to use the laundry. We really appreciated being able to store our luggage. It was really cute apartment, very functional, very clean. It has a kettle, drinking water from the tap, fridge, anything we needed.

Very quiet place to relax after a day at the beach. 10 mins walk away from the Muri Beach night markets & to hire a car/scooter to explore the island.. Even meet the owners Simon, Denise & Jimmy (The Dog). Great place to stay

Our room had everything we needed and more. The large Television and USB drive with movies was great to have on the rainy days. The outside deck area and stunning gardens with pool was very calming to unwind and relax.

The shower was very small in the Onu room we got but it was the only room left, so we had to get it. Water temp in the shower also wasn't the best as it would switch between cold and hot suddenly. But I'm sure if you mentioned it to Simon, he will sort it out!

The hosts are amazing and will try to cater to all your needs and are extremely helpful. They kept checking on you and provided us with everything reasonable that was requested.

I'm very unfit and walking up the road back to accomodation is 500m of a bit of a hill, it got a bit tiring in the heat. Would recommend being fit or hiring a scooter/car

Paid extra for airport transfers and Simon was lovely. Great communication befofe stay and during. Close walking distance to Muri Night Markets, (beautiful food!) convenience stores, pharmacy. Nice and quiet location. Lagoon and lush garden views from balcony. Very clean room. Covered bbq area next to pool has books and comfy seating, wonderful idea. All windows have screens so minimal bugs get in. Great view from bed also. Would highly recommend this option if you arent interested in noisey resorts as it was so peaceful.

This is our second stay at Muri Retreat. The new owners, Simon and Denise, certainly know what they're doing! Muri Retreat is as special and charming as ever, but with very much appreciated upgrades: a super ceiling fan that cools better than AC, renovated kitchen, more lighting and lots of plugs for charging phones. Denise brings clean sheets and towels every 4 days. We were in Kukupa suite with a great view of the reef and a wraparound verandah for dining, gazing at the ocean and hanging wet towels and swimsuits. The property has lush vegetation and a private idyllic pool. There is a washing machine onsite. Simon offers paid WIFI, so you don't have to go buy it at the convenience store - very handy! The pool area offers covered seating and a fridge and bbq for pool side dining. The location is very handy to Muri Beach downtown area and Fruits of Rarotonga snorkelling. We recommend getting a car in Rarotonga to easily explore the island and all it has to offer. We wish we lived closer to Rarotonga than Canada, so we could visit Muri Retreat every year! Simon and Denise really care about the quality of their guests' vacations and were readily accessible during our two week stay.
