There is really nothing to say here. This is a very well priced accomodation with a prime location and the most beautiful view one could ask for. No TV... but our previous accomodation had one and there are only 2 channels (or really one and a bit since the second is so patchy) and the lack of TV meant we had a much better time here than at the previous place!

We arrived approx 15 min early as not sure exactly where we were going. We went to Raina Apartments as assumed there would be an office and couldn't reach the accomodation via phone. No office, no one about so we popped into the dairy just up the road (Woo something- lovely folk in there) who advised us our villa was right next door- very handy! Workers were on site doing some last minute cleaning and gardening and also some building repairs. They were very accommodating and happy for us to stow our perishable groceries and stay while they finished up (Thank you Nida and Mr Gardener/Caretaker- so sweet). All basics were supplied with extra towels for the beach and a visitor information folder- worth a read - wish I'd had time to take a dancing lesson! Folder also includes house rules, instructions for lighting oven, contact numbers for accomodation and emergency phone numbers etc. House is well kept and right on the beach- glorious! Most windows covered with insect screens and the fans moved the air around well, keeping us comfortable throughout. Didn't miss the TV at all 😀

The fans were noisey, towels were not always readily available other than this everything was good.

The beach was straight across the road. Mama June is amazing reminded me of my own grandmother. She also arranged a meet up with family for one my mates. Thank you so much

Traffic noise and chainsaws on a public holiday. No towel service after 3 days as per website. Did the manager/owner a favour with some duty free but got no thanks at all. Expected a thanks.

The facilities were a little old - but it was as an authentic island home.

Travellers need to be adaptable and understanding that Rarotonga is a developing island nation. Just about everything, except for taro and coconuts, is imported. Freight costs are high therefore living costs are high. Don't expect a cheap holiday. Also, due to the 2020 Covid pandemic, a lot of Rarotongans have left the island to find work in NZ and Australia. Locals are working two or three jobs to cater to the needs of tourists. Please be understanding and kind to the locals.

Close to the Muri beach area and good snorkeling. Close to a small well stocked shop and several eateries. Bus stop at the door. Large spacious unit.

We had a few maintenace/cleanliness issues when we arrived but after contacting the caretaker these issues were seen to immediately. We expected the house to be stand alone but there is a granny type flat attached to one end with people coming and going all the time so our privacy was not great

The main issue was the noise! I was given the 2. floor apartment right along the street (though most apartments seemed empty). Though there is not a lot of traffic it ended up noisier than my apartment at home in the middle of Honolulu. Additionally, there is a gym right across the street that has classes 6-7am with loud music. I woke up thinking there was a loud party going on next door. Other than the noise the place just felt desolate and run down and had a spooky vibe. the beach is beautiful upfront and easily accessible as there is a public access. However, my phone was stolen out of my bag while I was snorkeling, suggesting somebody was watching me and then took advantage. All this together made me leave the place 2 days in and joining friends that have a bed free in an other place.

1 roll of toilet paper for 15 days, old soap that had dirt in the cracks of it, linen changed 3 times in 15 days, lots of broken furniture still out as if it was OK to sit on

I liked the person I shared the apartment with, in fact it was good I fell in love with him and didn't notice the very poor facilities. I should have read the reviews

It is a tired worn down property. Needs new curtains or serious cleaning. It is like nothing has been updated since 1970’s.

The smell of the apartment i had to spray the pillows and blankets just so i could go to sleep, the smell was really bad and it was so dusty.

That it was nice and quiet. And the beach is right across the road.

When I arrived, I wasn't sure which room I was in. I have mobility issues & nothing in the advert said I would have to go up & down stairs. The photo of a patio is on ground floor. Please update this to let people know so we don't book if we have mobility issues. Had no warm water in the shower. I realise it's hot in Rarotonga but I still appreciate a warm shower in the morning. The drain was blocked. Wasn't a great experience staying here
