Couldn't swim in the beach was to rocky. Would of been good to have a BBQ to cook on.

The location is amazing… Steps away from a convenience store, delicious restaurant, and the best coffee and pastries on the island! The view from our villa was the absolute best part of our stay! We spent a lot of our time just lounging on our deck, watching the waves come in, and enjoying the ocean breeze! Rudy and Kanoe are exceptional hosts, and they made us feel right at home! The grounds are beautifully kept, and Kanoe’s artwork throughout the property makes it so extremely special! We loved our time at Tropical Sands, and would highly recommend it to anyone else coming to Rarotonga! Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

Like most places on Rarotonga also here the sea is not well accessable because of the rocks in the water. It was not a diappointment, I knew it on beforehand. Besides Muri Beach is really very close.

Budget price for accomodation that is much better than budget! Nice 2-room bungalow with airco and a relaxed veranda. All well taken care of and clean. I enjoyed the free bicycle very much. Kept me mobile with Muri Lagoon nearby and Avarua not far away either. A supermarket with all necessities is across the street and so is a good hamburger andpizza takeaway.

Tropical Sands was a great place to stay for our week in Rarotonga. Very clean and perfect size for a couple. Shower was great, bed was firm but fine and deck was amazing to have breakfast on each day. Location was excellent in between town and Muri. Hosts Rudy and Kanoe were super friendly and helpful. We read similar things in previous posts and everything was great.

The beach isn’t suitable for swimming because of the proximity of the reef.

Being absolutely on the beachfront, we were able to male several sightings of whales from our balcony. On occasions some very pods were close to the reef which is just off the beach at this location.

Location was great, property is close to airport town and next social area. Across the road from the bus stop and convenience store. Hosts are so genuinely welcoming. I loved seeing the sunrise every day from Tropical Sands

Rudy and Kanoe were fantastic hosts. Our villa overlooked the ocean where we saw humpback whales everyday. Muri Beach was a 5 minute bike ride away. The facility is very close to a supermarket and villi burgers. Great location. Only downside was the beach is not a swimming beach however Muri is not far away.

very good location. Bus stop in front of property also the supermarket, ATM and a really good café which sold as well sourdough bread and yummy bakery products. Rudy and Kanoe are very very lovely relaxed and caring hosts . We liked very much that we could use the bikes for the whole time of our stay. That was a great bonus. The garden was beautiful very peaceful and the other guests were lovely people too. Definitely will try to come back next year and stay at Tropical Sands in Chalet number 5 :))

We would come back each year if we could! Rudy and Kanoe are warm and welcoming hosts and nothing seems a problem. We love the quiteness and privacy and the chance to relax in a beautifully-maintained environment.
