Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Convenient location, close to bus station and about 8 blocks from center of town. Very kind and accommodating hosts. Super clean, spacious rooms (no frills but everything works!) and a pleasant comfortable common area, which is light-filled with a view. Clearly, hosts take good care of their hostal and their guests.

The location was super close to the bus stop. The woman at the front desk made us feel right at home, comfortable, and safe, especially being women traveling alone. She held our bags for free while we went backpacking and made sure to have breakfast ready for us super early. Highly highly recommend!

AustraliaThe Asoi Hostal is only an easy ten minute walk from the bus terminal. The Lady of the House is very house proud with the property clean, welcoming and well presented. My room was spacious, comfortable and warm with a well appointed bathroom. The breakfast was excellent with my request for an early start of 6am happily agreed to.

BrazilThere could be at least bananas in breakfast. For those heading for Torres del Paine, eat fruits in breakfast would be a plus.
Very good hostal, conveniently close to bus station. The owner is very helpful and kind. Rooms are comfy and warm. Breakfast is simple but fresh, with bread, ham and cheese, cereals.

Our stay at Asoi Hostal was more than perfect! I would recommend Asoi Hostal anytime. The owner is super friendly, everything is decorated and done with love. Good breakfast, nice living room. You walk around 10-15min into the city centre, but it didn’t bother us. It is a nice walk. The Hostal ist located really close to the bus terminal (less than 5min), which is really convenient for early buses

SingaporeThere is a constant tapping sound around the walls at night. It wasn’t very loud but I think it may disturb very light sleepers. I suspect it has something to do with the expansion and contraction of the internal pipes.
Very good location as it is about 5-8 mins walking distance from the bus terminal. The lady owner was friendly and hospitable. The breakfast selection was also good. Rooms were spacious and clean. We could also leave our luggage there when we went away to Torres del Paine.
