Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandThe track in is rough and really needs a four wheel drive and adequate ground clearance to avoid car damage negotiating deep ruts. No cell phone coverage or simple signposting to the property, so make sure you have your coordinates before setting out.
A beautiful & homely wooden cabana with everything you need for self catering and a log fire if you need it. Set in woodland in a quiet and relatively unvisited area just outside to the north of the Torres D'el Paine park. Great place to re charge and as a spring board for local walks. Friendly but unobtrusive managers.

South AfricaNothing at all. Some may feel a bit stressed about driving to the location off the main access road - the 2km on the farm road are fairly bumpy and will be more so after rain and better navigated with a higher clearance vehicle but were easy to navigate carefully with our AWD rental (no 4x4 needed) and should be ok with a sedan too. Victor does offer pick up from the park entrance for those with inappropriate cars or driving experience, he told us. No cell reception or wifi in the cabaña, but one can log into his network outside his house. This all did not bother us in the least.
Basic yet cosy cottage with beautiful views on a private horse farm some 5km outside Laguna Azul park entrance. The cottage was equipped with all we needed for a comfortable and relaxed stay away from the masses overflowing the crowded camps and expensive and noisy hotels inside the park. Well insulated (if needed fireplace will be lit), with huge panorama windows out onto the scenery, kitchen well and considerately equipped, also with condiments, spices, tea and coffee. Victor, the owner, also offers guided day tours into lesser explored areas of the park (Patagonia Bagual). All in all a very nice place to spend a quiet and relaxed rest of the day after exploring the park. Petrol available if needed. We can highly recommend the cabaña and would stay here again any day!

United StatesNever got a firm number or what the price would be for transportation and all-inclusive on top of lodging. When time came to check out, we were double charged for food, which they then adjusted. We were also charged an extra day of all-inclusive, which I was not expecting for the transportation. He refunded the food portion of the extra day's charges. I would go there again... just make sure to get a firm number before you arrive.
Beautiful surroundings, all-inclusive included traditional Chilean food that was very good, people were super-friendly.plenty of nice wines and beer. The guide, Felipe, was AMAZING.

United StatesThis property is very special. If you are looking to be “in” Torres Del Paine, then this is the place. You will need to rent a car. I would recommend 4WD. You are about 15 minutes to the entrance to the national park and the start of the hike to the towers. This property is on a 4,000 acre ranch which is in the hills and beautiful to walk around. The horses come back from a day of roaming each night. There are cows just up the hill. Sometimes a puma is nearby (you can tell as the dogs suddenly become very alert). The owner of the cabin lives in Santiago but had a wonderful woman living in the adjacent cabin who warmly welcomed us and answered our questions and helped us with our planned excursions and let us use her WiFi (she had her own personal Starlink! Bonus!). There was no WiFi in the cabin but we just had to walk 200 ft to the picnic table to use a good WiFi. We were able to post pictures of our adventures each night:). We opted for the “all food included” package. Which I highly recommend. Rosa had our breakfast ready as early as we requested before our excursions. She made us packed lunches and we had hearty dinners with cervesas and vino after our day of activities. The cabin has 3 bedrooms and 2 nice showers and a balcony to watch the sunrise and the rabbits hopping by. If you like a place in the middle of nowhere, that has everything you need, this is it!

United StatesIt took 15 mins of dirt roading (that’s a decent drive from Puerto Natales or El Calafate). Every time we came into the property, I was a little scared we would pop another tire!
The property was beautiful, albeit remote. The animals (horses, guanacos, and dogs) on the ranch made it worth it. Rosa, the cook, catered very nicely to our needs. The staff was exceptional, even helping us fix a popped tire!

United States1. The listing did not clarify just how tough the road to the cabin is to navigate. Dirt ruts all the way, totally susceptible to rain and frequency of use. Conditions and concerns about the terrain meant a 15-minute drive to get in or out of the property. Our 4x4 SUV rental car ended up with expensive undercarriage damage; you need a 4x4 truck. The listing needs to make this clear. Expectations are 80% of satisfaction. 2. Also, the listing should be more clear about food. If you plan to cook for yourself, plan it out carefully and bring everything you need from Natales, otherwise, it is a 4-hour round trip for resupply. Bring tons of large bottled water jugs, the property is well water and it tastes nasty. Bring more than you think you'll need because you will use it all. 3. The food service option is super convenient but way overpriced for the quality of what we experienced most of the time we were there. The couple that provided the meals for our last two days was amazing, the food was fresh and inventive, the presentation very special, and we felt pampered like we were getting what we paid for. The rest of the time honestly we felt taken advantage of, even though I'm sure it was not intended—the same meat, cheese, and bread every day for both breakfast and lunch and plain meals for dinner (served with love and kindness just not worth $110/day per person. 4. Our host was on a retreat during our stay with spotty internet, so communication was difficult. As a result the staff were super unclear about what we had contracted for as regards food and tours.
The cabin is located in a magical area just outside the park. Just a beautiful setting, very special. The cabin itself felt nicer than the impression created by the booking photos, it is cute. The people were the very best part, everyone there was exceptionally kind and friendly. They made our stay. Javi is amazing, so upbeat and assuring, she is an applied scientist with a wealth of information. We had opted for the food service and had several friendly cooks (the quality and presentation of the food itself ranged from just ok to fantastic). Carolina (sp?) is amazing, not only did she put care and attention into how our meals were served but she is also an incredible massage therapist, she gave the best massages any of us have ever had, it was a wonderful way to cap the stay. Tours were also great. Staff availability was spotty during our stay, so we were matched up with a guide from Natales (a different Javi) who was fantastic and worth every penny of her $ 250-day rate. Something we learned late but worth knowing is that if you want or need anything at all, just ask someone. We spent way too much time worrying about bothering anyone for things like a clean towel or TP or additional food when in fact that is what they are there for and they want to make things nice for you.

CanadaStarlink Wifi only in one area but it was nice to disconnect for a couple days
-we didn’t have a 4x4 vehicle so the host picked us up at the bottom of the hill -the cabana was spacious, comfortable and cozy, it had a wood fire burning furnace that was already on when we arrived -very peaceful, surrounded by mountain views, and horses. Lots of hikes nearby -the host victor was so welcoming and helpful! we arrived with no food and not enough gas as we didn’t realize there wasn’t any restaurants or gas stations nearby. He let us buy some groceries and gas from him which we really appreciate or else we would have starved 😄 -victor referred us to a really great guide for a private glacier kayaking tour -highly recommend staying here!! such a beautiful space and wonderful host who went above and beyond for us. Thanks victor !

United StatesI requested a guide to hike the "Fauna Trail" (Porteria-Porteria trail), because it requires a guide. Victor was not available, and so he hooked us up with a different guide. The guide had never been on the Fauna Trail, and was not very helpful. I would skip the Fauna Trail and the guide for it, if you are an experienced hiker/traveler. The guide took us to other trails that we enjoyed because we hired for him for the day, but we felt a little hurried by him. The trails are clearly marked, and there are so many free ones that don't require a guide that I would not spend your money on that.
The owner met us at the road before the turn off. You will want to have 4 wheel drive (we didn't need it, but would have if it had been raining.) It is about 45 minutes from the cabin to the Laguna Amarga entrance. If you are traveling to Gray Glacier, it is about 1 hour 45 minutes. We saw more wildlife going back and forth on the road from the cabin to the park than we did in the park! Victor had gas available at the cabin for our rental car, so that we did not have to go all of the way back to Puerto Natales (up to a 2 hour drive back depending on where you are.) He also had different power adapters available in case you forgot yours. Nice touch! The views are beautiful from the cabin, and Victor was hospitable.

GermanyNothing really
Beautiful cabin in an amazing location, one of the most idyllic places one could imagine, in the middle of the beautiful patagonian nature. A great place to disconnect from the business of daily life. Not too far from the classic hike of the three towers (around 50 minutes by car to the start of the hike). The other main sites of the park are also easily reachable (around 1h10min to the Pudeto ferry). Victor, the host, is really nice and can give you all the tips you need to explore the area. A couple of facts about the area you should bear in mind: * There are no shops or gas stations around, so make sure you come stocked up from Puerto Natales * The connectivity in the area is quite poor, so just prepare mentally to leave your phones aside and enjoy a bit of real disconnection ;) * Make sure you bring a proper car for the park (ideally 4x4). We'd love to go back some day :)

United StatesGREAT LOCATION JUST OUTSIDE OF THE N.P. CABIN IS STURDY, MODERN, AND BEAUTIFULLY DESIGNED. DRIVING INTO THE PROPERTY IS A BIT OFF ROAD SO TAKE A HIGH CLEARANCE VEHICLE (THAT WILL HELP IN THE PARK EITHER WAY). ABSOLUTELY NO CELL SIGNAL AT THE CABIN AND IN MOST OF THE PARK, ENJOY THIS TIME TO UNPLUG AND CONNECT WITH NATURE. ARRIVE WITH FOOD AS YOU ARE HOURS AWAY FROM ANY STORE, CABIN HAS GOOD COOKING SPACE

United Statesthe dirt road off the main road may seem a little tricky to get down but just keep following it because it will lead to the house. our host was nice enough to meet us at the main road to guide us down.
the pictures I took don’t do it justice. the cabin was absolutely beautiful. it was the perfect size for our group, very clean, and had amazing views. if we get the chance to come back to Patagonia we will definitely try to stay here again. host also can arrange tours including tracking pumas which would be awesome.
