Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndonesiaThe air ventilation in the bathroom of the room I stayed did not working properly somehow, so it made the bathroom a bit damp for a longer period.
The hotel, the common areas in the hotel and the bedroom is very clean, neat and tidy. I also like the interior design of the hotel. All of the staffs were friendly, helpful, and very attentive during my stay, which I really appreciate. The staffs also able to speak english, something that I feel very important, coming from a non-spanish speaking country. From before my arrival to Santiago until my departure, the hotel staffs assisted all my needs and supported me with guidance about the hotel and my pick-up requests. The hotel is located a bit far from the centre, but also near to some tourist hidden gems including very near to President Boric's residence! The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood, good for resting. They serve juice, coffee and tea all day long, I think it's a nice gesture for the guests.

Everything- the whole hotel is so modern, the rooms are spacious, there's always tea, coffee, water and fruit there for free. The staff were the loveliest, they couldn't do enough for us, allowed us check in super early and stay on late to use the common area as we had a late flight at no extra charge. Loved this hotel

United KingdomHonestly nothing, a clear 10/10.
Sad we couldn't stay longer here. The whole hotel must have been recently decorated. Spotlessly clean. Comfy bed. Spacious room. Quiet, inside the hotel and from street noise. Attentive and friendly staff. The breakfast was generous and fresh, good quality items - the skillet of eggs were lovely and yellow!

AustraliaThe hotel sends many automated messages and warnings which seemed rather over the top and unnecessary. Also, as others have mentioned guests are provided with a key to entrance door, so it needs to be opened manually by staff.
Location and breakfast options were great. Hotel is charming, situated in a beautiful historic building which has been recently renovated. Super clean with quality furnishings. Great dining options close by and walkable to sights. We felt safe walking during day and in the evening. We booked a room with balcony with was light and breezy.

ColombiaThe most perfect little boutique hotel in Santiago! Exceptional attention by the staff, very comfortable and clean rooms and beds, great location: very safe part of the city with great public transport, lovely Barrio Yungay! Breakfast included, fresh fruit, coffee, tea and juices freely available 24h. 12.00 check-out available, luggage storage, 24h reception. Baby cods available. Tasteful deco and details, great lighting, all newly refurbished and well maintened. Our family could not have been happier at Casa Aure! We stayed there twice, totalling 4 nights and wouldn't hesitate to book again!

NorwayThere was no elevator, which is a bit tiresome when you have heavy suitcases, and the main door had to be opened by someone in the reception, meaning that we stood inside waiting to get out a few times, haha.
A great place! The building is old and charming, but the interior is freshly remodeled and modern. Bright, spacious room, very comfortable bed, great shower, good breakfast, super helpful and attentive staff. We liked this hotel so much that we stayed an extra night!

CanadaThere's no a/c and very small windows, so the rooms were definitely warm in the early fall heat.
The rooms were small but very comfortable -- nice bed, great bathroom, and very clean. The staff were very helpful and proactive, and the included breakfast was a huge bonus! Also the price was very very good.

United KingdomI can't think of anything that could be improved.
Five stars all the way, without hesitation. The nice breakfast was a bonus to everything else about this lovely little hotel. Clean, smart, well furnished, in a very pleasant neighbourhood and with the best welcome from the owners and staff. We were so pleased to be here on our final night of our 8 week travels through Chile. The area is all low level buildings and with a few decent little restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Hotel Casa Aure clearly has a successful future ahead of it. Well done everyone, I am smiling as I write this :-)

United StatesYou pick up a little road noise, but that dies down at night in this neighborhood. Other reviews complain of the lack of AC, but I didn't have a problem with that and it 30° throughout my stay. I did spring the extra to get a balcony, and I do recommend you do too.
An old house recently converted into hotel. Excellent price located conveniently in barrio yungay between downtown and parque quinta normal. Nice space, friendly staff, charming esthetic, good price, the place has a lot going for it.

United KingdomI absolutely loved this hotel, which was a perfect peaceful sanctuary in a quiet neighbourhood of Santiago. I had a very comfortable, well-furnished room with en-suite. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I liked the communal area downstairs where you can help yourself to free tea, coffee, and juice at any time of day, and the breakfast is also very good. The location is also convenient for exploring the city center, it's walkable to the main museums and the metro is also 20 minutes walk away.
