Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyA short part of the walk to the center is a bit sketchy at night, not because of people but because of the dogs.
Lovely place with good breakfast and free water refill. Tours can be booked and lovely place to stay at the pool.

AustriaJust two small things: The nights were cold as we were there in autumn, and the heater in our room was not really up for the task. We managed because there were many blankets but it could have been more comfortable. Also, some blinds for visual protection that let through light would be helpful.
The Ckoi Lodge consists of many small houses and everything is decorated in a colorful local style with a love for detail. It is located near the town center but in a quiet corner which we found great. The room was big, comfortable and very clean. The bathroom was really beautiful. For breakfast there were many options to choose, including pancakes. The staff is nice and helpful, and they offer the possibility to book all tours - which is the main thing for a stay in San Pedro - for you. They have good partner agencies and we always got great guides. What we enjoyed especially were the many options to relax on the premises.

A little piece of paradise in the desert. Very cute property with lots of lounge space and a pool to relax in after touring around. Quiet location but close to the main area with lots of restaurant options near by. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe. Breakfast was great. Rooms were comfortable. Option to book the hot tub was a nice touch. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend to anyone visiting San Pedro de Atacama.

RussiaThis hotel is a true gem in Atacama. Located just 4-5 min walking from the main street, yet extremely quiet and peaceful. A lot of shared spaces across the territory, including alpacas, not heated pool and a fireplace. They also serve good breakfast from 7 am, and if you have an early tour they offer a lunchbox to go (includes cereal bar, a fruit and juice).

United KingdomNothing, everything is perfect… P E R F E C T! I can’t thanks enough to Patricio (owner) and Constanza (receptionist) all the efforts to made our stay there just as a dream.
The properly is absolutely stunning and at the same level than any European hotel with high standards and with the most incredible kind people you will meet. There is not other place where to stay in San Pedro so please stop scrolling and just book the best place in town. I live in London and visited lots of hotels in many countries in the world and this is no doubt one of THE BEST.

The location was convenient to the main street and business district, but was set back from the street and quiet. Breakfast was good. The staff was welcoming and responsive.

CanadaThe pool facility was a bit run-down. The pool water needed cleaning and floating debris needed to be removed. It seemed to be un-kept. But right next to the pool were the live Alpaca/Llama holding pen which was a delight to feed and interact with the 6 animals
The size of the room - Family size / multi beds - and the in room amenities, incl. Towels, shampoos/soaps, plenty of hot water, etc. The hotel facility was good, the incl. Breakfast was excellent and very fulfilling. Beautiful lounging area outdoors and personal room patios for sitting/resting.

AustraliaWe stayed in the older section and there are some maintenance things that are needing to be done in the bathrooms and the power points. The owner has started redoing some rooms. The newer sections are superior with their own external areas
Loved the attention to detail and staff and cosy atmosphere Property does care about guest safety with extra lighting for those walking into the centre Pool is beautiful but requires a wetsuit for use 🤓

United KingdomIt was quite challenging not having a fridge in the room, however we were allowed to use the hotel one. It was less convenient and we felt like we were bothering the staff at times.

PolandSome of the rooms are located next to the stable with live horses. The stench of urine in these rooms is horrendous. The owners know this and instead of closing off these rooms, they offer air fresheners... So although I wish I coud say that this lodge was perfect, it was not...
This place is ALMOST perfect, with good location, friendly personnel, fantastic breakfast, great common area with comfy seating, artesanal pillows, good wi-fi and hot tea and coffee 24/7. I really wish i couls say it was perfect, but it wasn't.

CanadaNothing - I only wish I had stayed here longer. This is a great place to stay because you can relax here for a day or two to adjust to the altitude.
I would highly recommend this hotel. The property is incredibly beautiful and so much effort has been put into the decor and layout. It feels very relaxing and tranquil. My room was also stunning and beautifully decorated. The internet works really well no matter where you are. Breakfast is very good and there is access to filtered water provided by the hotel. It is located about six minutes from the Main Street in San Pedro which is good because it is very quiet. The llamas by the pool are adorable.
