How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The cabin was super cosy! Well equipped, great lighting, heating and bathroom. Darka (the dog) was gorgeous as well!

- Bikes offered for guests unfortunately were not sized for my wife. - Kitchen needed a few more essential items.
- Good heat in the sleeping quarters that takes a while to get out to the kitchen and bathroom. - Was in a quiet setting outside of the town and well away from the tourist area. - The nightly rate was reasonable.

We loved everything about this property, but you definitely need a car if staying here as it’s a little out of the town. The cabins are rustic but comfortable and well equipped. We stayed in two of the four cabins, the first one was larger than the second but both were perfect for two people. We only moved because we extended our stay and a larger group was arriving. Clara, the host, was lovely. She was attentive to our needs and a delight to talk to, even though her English was limited and our Spanish non-existent. Lastly, and important to us, the views were outstanding.

We liked it.We did not use the cooking area so cannot comment on this. With value for money in mind this is a great option and it is slightly nearer Torres del Paine than Puerto Natales.
The lady who runs these lodgings is simply lovely. We had problems arriving due to our hire car agency and she stayed up late to let us in. She also called us taxis and let us leave our baggage all day when we took an early excursion on our last day. Quick replies to any questions before arrival and during our stay. Plenty of hot water. Comfortable bed. It was nice to be outside the town and see what life was like outside the hotels in the center. Taxis were about 5000 pesos to Puero Natales Town( approx £5 ) and bus terminus so not expensive but this place is ideal if you have a car. Kettle and coffee provided. Hairdryer too. We did not use the kitchen. Quiet at night so we coukd sleep.

Carla was so kind and helpful. The cottage was so beautiful and had many thoughtful touches and interesting travel resources to read through. I left a jacket there and Carla was so kind to mail it to me! I would definitely stay here again!

Nothing it was perfect!
Loved our stay here wish we had more time to stay longer! Beautifully decorated and well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, had everything we needed! Also they have a lovely dog who welcomed us with the host :)

Fantastic stay. It was very clean and spacious. Everything you need for a short stay was available in the house. Carla met us at check in and check out. Our bus was delayed and we reached around 11 PM but Carla made sure we had a smooth check in. The surroundings are peaceful and beautiful. Definitely recommended.

It's quite a bit out of town so nice if you want privacy and quiet, but not really walkable into town. They have bikes on property which we didn't use but might be a good option.
It was really nice and quiet, beautiful artwork on the walls, and the facilities were good. Super comfortable place to stay after being exhausted from the W trek.

Super cosy and nice place to stay. Me and my boyfriend were in the bungalow which was very cosy and had a very comfortable bed. My mother was in the apartment which had a great view and lots of light. Both places were very lovely and the attention to detail was great. Also Carla welcomed us most friendly. With the car you're in about 10 minutes in the city centre.

The bathroom: Shower is small with dark walls and gives you a sense of not clean. Shower curtain full of orange mold. the floor of the bathroom did not look or felt clean.
The host was very nice. the price was affordable. The beds are comfy. Relaxed environment. We stayed on the second floor of the cabin and had good views. Everything we needed in the kitchen.
