    Nothing

Breakfast was served to us and included fresh scrambled eggs, hot rolls, avocado, yogurt. Very good and in a high ceiling old dining room with views of the harbor. Location was excellent and the old mansion is beatiful. Very quiet at night, room 1 on top floor was spacious and quiet. Charming hotel. Great staff. Would stay again.

The toilet did no work well. Water cold.

Breakfast was very nice served by a gentle wonderful woman. I booked this facility because it had a connection for transportation from Santiago. The car service was very pleasant and driver very helpful. Staff provided a very early checkin which was very very welcome after a long journey.

Just bear in mind that the hotel is up one of Valparaisos many hills. Make sure you have comfy shoes, and definitely use the funicular if you are carrying your luggage! The only thing I would have liked is a bigger shelf or more storage in the bathroom, because I struggled to know where to put things.

The location was absolutely fantastic! The hotel is a beautiful historic building, full of charm and character, and I loved having a room with a Juliet balcony. The staff were always smiling and ready to help, and the breakfast was really enjoyable. Overall, I felt it was good value for money, and would definitely go back.

Nothing to dislike abut this historic boutique hotel.

Location was excellent for a local tour of the area; view from the hotel of the sea was also very impressive; the staff were very friendly and helpful - the reception clerk even carried our heavy luggages to the taxi for us!

Unfortunately, many young people like to hang out outside the hotel until the wee hours of the morning. The showers were very small.

I like how eclectic the hotel is. It's in a great location and has friendly staff and, an excellent breakfast.

    Bathroom/shower was quite petite.

Location, staff, and ambiance were all exceptional. Included breakfast was best of our trip. The port view from our room and small balcony was spectacular. Appreciated that coffee and hot water was available during the day. Took a little getting used to, but the locked front door and handing over our room key each time we went out gave us a good sense of security.

This property looks like its coming out of pandemic restrictions; perhaps you can say it's seen better times. But you get such a sense of appreciation for what it is and also striving to become. It so beats new, modern buildings with cookie-cutter rooms and amenities. They just don't make them like this anymore!

My favorite hotel on my Chile trip. Classic interior architecture accentuated my experience with its high ceilings, wood herringbone floors, and tall doors plus vented transoms. Solid wood staircase should knock you socks off! Festive rooftop bar with view added evening pleasure. Strong security at entrance. Very friendly and helpful staff.

There was some noise from people partying outside the hotel at night, but otherwise it was very peaceful.

The hotel is a beautiful historic house in a central location in the historic area of Valparaiso. The room and hotel faciflties were very comfortable and full of character. A tasty breakfast was served in the dining area or outside terrace with views over Valparaiso Harbour.

Ours was a twin bed room on the lower floor ( I think the only twin bed room?) which faced the street and restaurants. The first evening, a Sunday, we had a saxophonist and other musicians playing right by our window. The music was ok but if you wanted to have a nap before supper, forget it. Also we were at street level. There is no AC ( not really needed in Valparaiso!) so we had to open windows and curtains for fresh air which meant NO PRIVACY because the passers-by could look in as you lay in bed watching tv. Try to get a room on the ocean side. The bathroom was very small (especially the positioning of the toilet) for us, but we are both 6 ft 1 and 6 ft 4! This area of Valparaiso is supposedly ‘safe’ but as you move away from it, you can quickly find yourself in areas that are not. My gold chain was ripped off my neck not that far from the hotel so just be aware of your surroundings and keep your valuables out of sight and secure .

Great, historic building in immaculate condition with great views of the ocean from the terrace and breakfast room ( and some of the rooms I’m sure!). Lovely breakfast served to your table. Very kind and helpful staff. Funicular takes you right up to the hotel!

Having to go down winding stairs for the bathroom was a bit awkward, especially in the middle of the night, but we got used to it. The shower was also a bit awkward to shower in and there was no shower gel in the dispenser.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location was ideal. We had a room overlooking the water, which was great! Everything was very charming.

Our bathroom was VERY small. The shower was so tight you could barely turn around. Everything worked well and was clean, but it was a tight squeeze.

The location is perfect and the view is incredible. The staff was very helpful and available at all hours. Although they didn't speak perfect english they tried their best and we could make it work. Breakfast was tasty and beautifully served in a wonderful little dining room.

A grand old hotel in the centre of Valpo

It's an old hotel so the rooms are small and dated but this is part of the charm. Some strange things like the safe was tiny and not secured to anything. Took about 5 minutes to get any hot water. The hotel restaurant only opens on the weekend which we unfortunately missed as it is supposed to be quite good. The staff were all great except for the owner who was in the bar one night and was very drunk. There is very limited parking - we were lucky to get a spot on the street outside the hotel but be warned you need to be very good at parallel parking! Our car rental agency recommended we remove the rental company stickers from the windows in Valpo as there is a fair amount of break-ins. Unfortunately Valpo is a bit depressing given the lack of tourism (Dec 2022) - we were here 5 years ago and it was buzzing but now its half-closed, dirty and a bit dodgy. Hopefully it will bounce back as it was one of our favourite places to visit on a previous trip.

A grand old hotel in a great location in the old part of Valpo, a short walk to some nice bars and restaurants. Has a terrace bar that is open Thurs-Sun.

We had room 7 which is at street level and the neighbouring entertainment venues were very noisy on Friday night until very late. Personally, I’d avoid this room next time.

Perfect location (although it’s not the at easy to find or get to to the entrance), delightful boutique hotel, lovely helpful staff
