Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Lovely hotel and stunning location. Staff all really helpful and the restaurant was great for breakfast, poolside lunch and even a BBQ dinner one night. Only about a 15 minute walk into the town to the bars restaurants and shops but reception were happy to arrange taxis to go further afield. Very good spa and excursions too, the tours were great value and very convenient being organised but the hotel. A great stay!

Everything. Everything is done to make your experience on Easter Island an outstanding and unforgettable one. The location is perfect and enables you to reach the city and surroundings by walk. The view from the bedroom and overall from the hotel is the best possible, straight on the ocean, magical. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the transfers offered very convenient and activities proposed wonderful. Finally the breakfast is extremely tasty with a variety of options at your disposal. The hotel facilities are wonderful, from the pool to the gym, you can really enjoy and make full use of them.

ChileDinner at the restaurant Kaloa was disappointing, with extremely slow service. Compared to the restaurants on the rest of the island, portions were small and the dishes were just average in quality. It did not live up to the standards of the rest of the hotel.
The Nayara Hangroa is the perfect place to stay for a trip to Rapa Nui. The sea views were spectacular, rooms were beautifully designed, quiet and comfortable. The staff were incredible, very friendly and took care of any questions immediately. The breakfast restaurant Poerava was 10/10- tons of different types of food available, a mimosa station, gluten-free options, and soy/almond milk and yogurt for those who don't eat dairy. They also have a grab-and-go station with wrapped sandwiches, drinks, fruits and cereal bars that you can take on excursions which was very handy as some of the tours do not have stops to buy food. The pool area is spotless and a great way to spend some downtime before/after the day's activities. I had an amazing massage at the spa and enjoyed the private sauna (you can book 30 minutes per day for free), the ladies working there were very accommodating and happy to show me around and explain all of the services available. The gym is well-equipped with shower facilities. The welcome flower necklace and departure shell necklaces they gave us were a nice touch! I loved all of the friendly dogs on the property that would greet the guests and it was heartwarming to see the staff interact with them throughout the day as they went about their work. If you stay here (or anywhere on Rapa Nui), do not complain about the dogs, it's their home and you are the guest!!

United StatesWe liked it here so much that this is "part 2" of our stay on Easter Island. Thank you to Cecilia for arranging all the tours for us; she is a true asset to this resort. Also a special thank you to Miriam in housekeeping for the extra attention to cleaning our room. Finally, thank you to all the front desk personnel who made this a seamless stay and introducing us to the Tapati Festival time. This resort is also within walking distance to the town and festival.

United StatesFor those who like extremely fast service (like fast food speed), the dining experience is not for you. We, however, really enjoyed the leisurely pacing of the food courses.
The entire staff was pleasant. The place was peaceful and cool during the hot time of day. Breakfast was really good; loved the baby pineapples. A special thanks to those who served us: Cristian, Cintya, Tua, and Max. Loved the 1/2 day tours!

The staff were very nice. We liked the location next to great places to see and visit in Hanga Roa. We enjoyed renting bikes at the hotel and riding around town. The outdoor swimming pool was fantastic! We also loved their breakfast buffet, and the architecture of the hotel was inspired.

United StatesInitially it was difficult to understand what was actually included in the full-fare option.
The staff at Nayara Hangaroa was excellent - from check-in, to dining, spa, and excursions. Communication prior to the stay was helpful and they organized transportation to and from the airport. The dining options were fantastic with excellently prepared and presented food - Barbra, specifically was such an amazing highlight of our trip in the dining room. Excursions included with the full-fare option were seamless organized making our stay truly unforgettable! The rooms were spacious, well equipped, and clean. I would HIGHLY recommend Nayara Hangaroa to anyone staying on the Island!

United KingdomA few minor issues: 1. Only one electricity plug in the room which is a struggle these days with so many devices. Most points in the hotel, well every one I found, struggled with European adaptors too. 2. Issue with air-con that needed to be reset which they did quickly. 3. Food in the restaurant was generally good. But a bit rushed. The main was always ready as soon as you finished the starter. Which suggests cooking in anticipation rather than waiting to start cooking main after starter is finished. Gordon Ramsay would not be happy. One evening we had local fish with a choice of rare, medium or well done. Which was a pointless question really as it came more than well done straight after a leisurely starter which suggests it had been hanging around. You simply can’t time a fish like that in anticipation so just don’t ask the question and let guests know their fish is already cooked waiting so you better finish your starter quick if you want it medium. 4. Laundry. Used this and had a few shirts ironed. Careful as everything goes in the tunmble dryer. They were poorly ironed. $4 per item ironed. 5. Gym is limited, but when limited at least make sure everything works. One treadmill, one bike, one cross trainer. All Life Fitness. The Cross Trainer was out of order and the bike pedals were clunky rather than smooth suggesting some maintenance needed. There was fittings for a TV, but no TV.
Nice enough but a little tired in places. I’m guessing this is one of if not the best places on the island and it’s difficult of course for any supplies when you are 2000 miles from the mainland. The room was nice, great bed, nice shower and views out over the ocean. The reception staff were great and very helpful. Tours were good too. The main two to cover off are the 15 Moia + Quarry and the Volcano. But we also did a couple of hikes. The caves were fascinating. Tiko took us on that. Then we did the highest point on the island. Nice walk, about 6 miles but it lashed down with rain and wind for the only few hours in our trip. Still worth it. Spa was OK, nothing spectacular and disappointing that you had to pay for the Sauna. The hotel was a short walk into the village and there is plenty of choice of places although don’t expect high end options. We tried Neptune’s where the food was very good and Haka Honu (although they’d recently changed the name) and that was good too. Breakfast buffet was generally pretty good. Overall a nice enough stay. I’d put this around 4 star rather than 5. But manage your own expectations as you are 2000 miles from the mainland and you shouldn’t be too disappointed.
