Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

IsraelThe room was clean, the hosts are super nice, helpful and welcoming. The place looks and feels like home. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. They even gave a drawer in the kitchen and a specific in the refrigerator for each room so there was space for everyone to put their stuff. Hot water in the shower all day with good stream and a nice view of the mountain from our room. We highly recommend the place

We stayed for 5 nights and it felt like having a home. Clean, comfortable, excellent location, brilliant staff, and a lovely little cat too! Would highly recommend for a stay in Pucon - we found the location was excellent for getting into town and for activities, the amenities are in really good condition and just generally well laid out in the hostel, and the place is kept really clean. The staff were really friendly and helpful too, and made it such a good stay. Thank you very much :)

GermanyIt’s a really nice place, well-located with a great view of the volcano. The staff is very friendly and helpful, it is super clean, towels are included. The kitchen is super well equipped and clean, they have a great way of organising the kitchen and even the knifes are sharp(what is not often the case:). I extended my stay there, bc I felt so at home. I can highly recommend it and would always rebook if I come back to Pucon.

IsraelWi fi signal is very weak when there is a few people. The light is very weak in the common area. There is no small lights in the room, so one can't read while the other is a sleep. The showers are only downstairs, at least there are 2 toilets upstairs.
Cozy place, located a few min. Walking from the main streets. Has all the cookware you need. The weren't a lot of people, so maybe that's why it was so nice. The staff is very helpful and nice. The laundry was free of charge. The heat in the rooms and in the common area is very good! Towels are free and there is an option to change them.if needed.

NetherlandsNot well insulated for sound. Could hear the tourist train that stops in front all night long. Also one night could enjoy some loud arguments or phone calls even though at 23 it should be quiet.
Clean and modern hot showers, roomy bedroom, well-equiped kitchen with your own space in the fridge and closet. Vulcan view from our room (4). Not a party hostel. Owner is beyond helpful and let us store our luggage and use the shower in the evening on the last day when we were already checked out.

Nice personnel, very clean, a large kitchen at your disposal (with coffee and tea), comfy bed, good location - close to shops and restaurants and also not far from the bus station.

CanadaIt was super noisy every day: guest speaking loudly at 2 am, people singing in the park in front of the hostel. The walls are very thin. We did not sleep well. Not recommended. There was some dishes in the kitchen sink all the time. The staff was leaving their dishes unwashed for the whole evening. Dish towel are not changed often enough leading to plenty of dishes on the drain rack.

United KingdomDespite it being a backpacker hostel, the staff we encountered spoke no English at all so therefore couldn't offer any real advice or information on Pucon and tours You have to pay via bank transfer or cash, not with card
Really well located, on a quiet street just outside the main part of Pucon. All very clean - Decent size kitchen, nice dining area/living room and small garden - although was always quite empty so not such a social hostal more one to chill out in and enjoy the quiet
