Small challenges in the kitchen but not due to staff, mostly due to people not really cleaning after themselves.

The staff were fantastic and the facility wonderful. It was close to everything and felt safe.

Loud music all day until late at night (at least 12/1). I specifically didn't want to stay in a party hostel and having to beg repeatedly for the music to be turned off so I could sleep a bit got quite annoying. This is definitely the downside of the hostel vibe. Unfortunately, despite the noise it is not quite that fun and social, so that doesn't really offset it. I still enjoyed my stays but I think it's good to be aware of this and the staff could really pay a bit more attention to it. After all, you are paying hotel not hostel prices. It is reasonable to expect to be able to sleep.

Has a hostel vibe so it is cosy and social if that is your thing. It also has a kitchen you can use - which is about as clean as you would expect in an average hostel. Staff are mixed but mostly nice! The dog is super cute. Hot showers that actually work! A rarity in Chile.

Cool and relaxed no-frills hostel with 2 buildings and a patio/ yard in the middle. Each room has its own balcony, great place to chill in the cool Santiago weather. Good location. Plus points for the huge fluffy dog!

Bed wasn’t the best and the fitted sheet was so stretch is kept coming off. Walls thin and can hear neighbors TV.

Great location. Easy walk to central market and downtown as well as tons of restaurants in Bella Vista. Good for a couple just staying the night in Santiago. Awesome hostel dog to say hi to. Reception speaks English.

Safe did not work so we had to take our cash and passports with us when we were visiting the surrounding areas.

Fernando was very welcoming, and even offered to bring us coffee to our rooms after a long day of travel. Our balconies were lovely, great view of yard and flowers, and nice to enjoy our coffees. Water was hot in the shower. Easy check in and check out. Quiet state no party people. Our breakfast was humble, but satisfying.

Our initial impression wasn’t fantastic (there was an odd smell in the main lounge area, like bad body odor) but the staff was super friendly and accommodating. They gave us cookies and coffee and tea upon arrival and let us store our luggage before checkin. We also made use of the laundry service which was a reasonable additional fee. The private bathroom was very nice. I couldn’t get hot water but my friend did so it was probably just a user error on my part lol. We’d stay again

Not a super social hostel if you are looking to meet people, but those we did see around (mainly staff) were friendly.

We enjoyed our stay at Bella269. The staff were very helpful in giving us advice on transport options and things to do. The room was comfortable and clean. The location was good, BellaVista is a cool area with lots of restaurants and bars and is only a short walk away (less than 10 minutes). Also a quick walk over the river to the central area of Santiago. They let us lock our bags after checkout.

Kate (I think that's the name). The girl at desk (owner ?) was always kind to us. Good in English, well informed and willing to help and advice. Also, location is good.

We arranged early check in for an extra cost but the staff working didn't know so when we arrived there was not a room ready for us. We got a temporary room but it wasn't clean. There was empty beer bottles in the bathroom. The beds were uncomfortable in both rooms we stayed in.

The staff spoke English which was appreciated. We speak Spanish but Chilean Spanish is quite different. They allowed us to leave our bags in a room for the day as we had a flight in the evening. Good wifi. Nice shower with strong pressure.

Location was a good balance between Bellavista, Recoleta, and Centro, nice interior courtyard which made the room quieter vs. overlooking the street, breakfast in the room, friendly cats, ground floor storage for large luggage

breakfast was repetitive (5 days in a row an egg sandwich), mind that if you leave a window open the cat can visit you, shower door didn't close, the sink tap was loose, the property is close to the main street and therefore might be loud

The area is said to be a little unsafe but walking during the day we had no issues.

The location is close to the centre, there is a lovely patio to sit and enjoy.

The wifi was a little spotty, there was no handtowel in the bathroom, the downstairs kitchen lacked plates and cutlery (we had to ask for items each time we went to eat)

Excellent breakfast, good location (right by a bus stop and walking distance to the city and the zoo/funicular), friendly staff (especially the bearded Brazilian was very nice), good room with air conditioning and private bathroom. All was clean.

The room was quite noisy, could here every step from other tourists leaving the hotel in the middle of the night

The staff was soooooo nice! She even left us breakfast with a little note although our flight was at 4am in the morning. She gave us so many tips for Santiago (food, sights etc) and really made us feel comfortable. You can walk to the city center in a few minutes, neighborhood seems quite save and you are at the airport in less than 20 minutes with uber.

There were no blankets in our bed, so we had to ask for them.

The space of the room and the bathroom were perfect. The staff was super nice and the breakfast was really good.
