We liked everything. It was a superb visit but to note that wifi did not work for my husband's French phone( we didn't need it as my plan from UK includes Chile). Also they speak Spanish ( normal) but communication by action or by a translator app was easy . This is the samel in most of Chile and I found it good advice to download a translator application before my holiday as sadly I do not speak Spanish

Lovely old house in the old center and in the best part of Valparaiso. In the middle of the old streets with some great restaurants in the next street, and walking distance to Sotomayor and transport. Wonderfully comfortable bed. Delicious breakfast, hot water in abundance, and lovely, friendly, efficient and helpful host. Very clean. You can help yourself to coffee, tea and water 24/7. Host could help with tourist information. This place is an absolute gem in the hill of Valparaiso.. We loved it! We will definitely book it again if we return to lovely Valparaiso.

This quirky guesthouse is in a residential neighbourhood. The rooms on the top floor have ensuite bathrooms. The rooms on the lower floor have private bathrooms down the hall from the sleeping accommodation. There is a patio off the upper storey and a fridge accessible for all guests (handy for chilling delicious Chilean wine). The breakfast each morning was delicious, and the staff were very helpful. Well located for venturing out to explore Valparaiso, this guesthouse was lovely.

The only really, really small negative was if you're staying for more than 3 days, the breakfast can be a little samey, otherwise it's perfectly adequate.

A cute little guest house with vintage touches. It was in a perfect location, surrounded by cafes, restaurants, bars, and shops. Great views of the city from the rooms and one of the funiculars just a few minutes away. The beds were really comfy, there were tea/coffee making facilities and bottled water on the landing and a small outdoor terrace for guest use. The staff were really friendly and organised a taxi for us to get to the bus station early in the morning, which was a great help.

It's an old house so sound travels easily, but compared to other places it's not bad.

The room was basic, but had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were so kind and helpful. Definitely recommend.

The site is conveniently located in Cerro Alegre with a street in front which is easy to park in case you drive. The house is really beautiful and the rooms very comfortable, clean, and airy, as shown in the photos. The breakfast was great and Javiera was an amazing host! I would stay again. Also loved the public courtyard and used it :)

The guest house was a little difficult to find upon arrival. Having a sign of some sort could help future guests :)

Overall had an amazing experience! The host was very welcoming and kind enough to let us leave our bags even after checking out. Absolutely loved the view from our breakfast table too :)

The photos on booking are not exactly true. There’s two floors : downstairs is old upstairs newly renovated. We thought we booked a new room but not. There is no sign outside, which makes you feel like it might be a scam at the beginning. It has no reception. A lady comes every now and then, but no one stays at night. We were the only guests and stayed alone in the old house. Quite scary. It’s not a hotel or hostal is more like a guest house , and old house were you can book rooms.

Room was a little sparse, shower pressure was weak, and there was no shade on the top terrace. Breakfast was nothing exciting, coffee was instant, filter would be better. Very hilly, and two flights of stairs inside.

Fantastic location, beautiful building, Ximena was so gracious and patient with our bad Spanish. Comfortable beds, excellent for someone on a budget.

The room is poorly equipped. It is on second/ top floor with tin roof which means when the sun is out the room is roasting hot, when the temperature goes down it is freezing cold. We asked for a fan and we’re told there is no fan. The electric heater is the room does not function when in the night it was very cold. The breakfast is miserable with not much to eat. The bread is stale and tasteless. Overall an expensive cost for a bed
