Amazing views from the lounge/kitchen over the volcano. Great place to relax. Comfortable bed, hot shower. Great staff who were always willing to help.

the property is not close to the center.

The property was very clean and Luis and Marquitos were so kind and nice. my room was cleaned daily, questions answered timely. Marquitos took me around the town and to get my ticket for the Moai sites.

Location close to the center, warm beds and nice bathrooms. Very nice common area (can be cold at night, but that's in most hostels), with amazing volcano view. Showers were hot, getting warmer during the day as the water is heated by the sun.

Very clean and comfortable, great location and great view from the kitchen. Oh and the best hostess ever, very friendly and I would have lost my flight if it weren't for Nancy. Hope to be back someday.

The rooms and shared facilities are beautiful and super comfy. Rooms were cleaned every day. Location couldn’t be better, so close from the central area of San Pedro and surrounded by mini-markets and food options, really convenient. Staff were super friendly. Doña Nancy received us on our arrival with many helpful information on how to move around San Pedro (were to eat nice food, were to find cheaper options, etc.). We didn’t have any tours or activities pre-booked and she arranged everything for us! Always available, flexible and attentive, was super lush. We had an amazing experience!

Our room (in the back) was really warm at night, the beds are not comfortable and the shower sometimes did not give any or only cold water.

The family that hosts the place is very thoughtful en nice.

The rooms don’t have AC, but they do have a fan.

The swimming pool is a huge bonus when there in Summer and the courtyard is lovely. Kitchen is decent with a beautiful view of the mountains.

The Hostal doesn't have a sign...you get there either because the taxi or the tour operators knows the location. The Wi-Fi was unreliable (it's better to buy a "sim card" for your phone), bad smell coming out in the bathroom, the shower faucet (room 7) was not properly installed and there is no way for the water to come out the right way, either it comes out very cold or it comes out very hot, not in between and you have to keep moving it from one side to the other to be able to take your shower. Just need a little investment in physical upgrades....

The hostal in an excellent location, just a short walk from the centre of town but far enough away from the noise and dust.

I wish that there would have been laundry access. Unfortunately, I got very sick while we were staying here and no AC and having to leave the windows wide open that face towards the courtyard made that experience very uncomfortable. The kitchen needed some TLC as the lights were out above the stove so you could barely see anything up there when it was dark.

It was affordable and the private room was nice. I enjoyed that they had a kitchen and common areas like a pool. The entire hostel is enclosed into a courtyard area with a keyed entrance so you are safe inside.

Shower was ok but the drain on both the shower and the sink were clogged. The lady from reception was weird, she didn’t show me the common areas nor told me if there was a kitchen or any other facilities I could use. She also didn’t let me enter the room earlier even though the room was ready. I understand that check in starts at 2pm but if the room is ready at noon, why not let the guest in? This could be seen as a bonus and count as extra points and instead my perception was that the hostal staff was not pleasant at all.

No sign- why??? Very difficult to find, was not fun wandering around with our backpacks in the heat. No wifi at all (didn’t work) so had to pay for data- works everywhere else so no excuse. Laundry drying all over the site all day, not relaxing. Pool unusable as murky and paint missing. Room was tiny. Works ongoing around property. Everything outside of room and kitchen was old and grubby looking ( eg sun loungers, chairs). Expensive for quality of room and facilities.

Room was clean. Location ok- about 10-15 minutes walk to the centre which is ok in evening but not pleasant in daytime with the heat and dust. Staff were nice and friendly. Shared kitchen was handy had a nice view.

Basically, I paid hotel prices to stay in a hostel. My room was tiny, and right next to a large patio and seating area; on most nights, people staying in the dorm rooms would sit out there talking loudly until late, making it impossible to sleep. Note that quiet time doesn't begin until midnight here, so good luck if you need to get up early for a tour! The internet was unreliable, and often didn't work at all. Overall, I felt like I'd been ripped off; there's no way I'd want to stay here again.

For a hostel and private rooms at this price, we would have expected to have at least wifi. Unfortunately, all residents have to stay next to the reception to get a very slow network. We had an important call to make to check on the health status of a family member, and we've been kicked out of the reception as it was "part of the main house." The tours the hostel partner with are not very reliable nor good value for money, for example one tour arrived with 1h30 delay hence we could only stay 1h at the thermas of puritana, without any excuse from the tour company. I'm usually not writing comments, but we really felt the quality and some behaviours were inappropriate.

The location was the only positive point.

It wasn’t a sociable hostel at all. The staff are so lovely, and even helped me when I felt unwell, but you will struggle if you don’t speak any Spanish. Bed sheets and cover were polyester and kept coming off the mattress throughout the night.

Good sun bed area and great kitchen with amazing view of the volcano. Clean and well kept. Lovely, helpful staff.

Lovely setting, the pool area is very nice and a good spot to rest after a tour. The kitchen has a beautiful view over the vulcano and the rooms are quiet and clean. Comfy beds too.
