Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNothing really, just bear in mind that it’s about a 15min walk from the center but it’s a wonderful hostel!
It’s clean and spacious! The pool is small but cool which is great in that desert climate!

United StatesI was satisfied that this was a no smoking, no drinking hostel. If you’re looking for partying, look past Lalck Cketi.
I liked that Lalck Cketi was quiet and farther from the Main Street of shops and restaurants. The staff has the routine of helping guests down. I was met in the lobby when I arrived. They were helpful and gave me and my partner space. The owner was readily available on What’sApp with texting and calling. He was very helpful and reassuring when I forgot my passport in the room after check out.

BrazilLove it. The room and bathroom were extremely clean and smelled so good. Very friendly owner and staff. If we had to leave early for the tours they would leave the breakfast in paper bags for us. They have available hot water in a thermos all day for coffee or tea. Also spring water available so we didn't have to buy more bottles of water. About 10 minutes from caracoles.. Tony, the owner let us leave the luggage in the storage room after the check out so we could spend some more time in Caracoles. I would definitely stay there again.

BrazilThe staff was available to help us, from our arrival until our departure. We needed a late check-in and the owner was there to welcome us. On our last day, we were able to leave our luggage inside the property, after check-out, to walk around the city until our transfer time. The location is strategically far from the noise of city center, but close enough to be reached on foot. The breakfast was simple, served each day at the time chosen by us. There was no air conditioning, but the good fan available did the job. Also considering that the room was very comfy and clean, our experience was great value for money.

Staff Fast internet Free water and local infusions to try. Breakfast looked decent. We did not get to try it, because we had to leave at breakfast time. At least they made the effort to prepare a snack box to take with us. We appreciated that.

AustraliaStaff were friendly and packed us breakfast for an early check out. The breakfast was basic but sufficient. The rooms were clean and the heating was a lifesaver during the cold nights. It's not in the centre of San Pedro but it was nice and quiet and easy to park out front which was what we wanted!

United Statesvery helpful staff, clean rooms, and good basic breakfast. We really appreciated that they allowed us to use the bottled water in the lobby to fill our individual water bottles. The location is on the edge of town, but we found it entirely walkable, even in the winter when it gets dark early, because the streets are very well lit. We felt completely safe as women walking both individually or in a group.

GermanyThe place is not that central. But is very quiet. We had a Car so it was not an issue. Thanks for everything!
We had an amazing time in San Pedro. The place was very nice. The Host gave us the best information about everything. The best Tip was a Lunch Restaurant on the same street. We would love to come back.

The staff were 10/10! They are so friendly, checked us in early and were very attentive. We had an early start the next morning so they packed us a snack bag as we’d be missing breakfast, that is such a nice detail. The room and beds were so comfortable and clean, and we really enjoyed the patio outside and swimming pool which is well shaded from the desert sun.

Curaçao1. Not only no smoking but also no alcohol allowed on the premises, according to the owner because of common Chilean law but this was the only in 20+ places that apparently felt under they law. Annoying not to be able to drink just a beer at night and to to have to go away and basically walk at least ten minutes because 2. On the map there seem to be loads of restaurants around. Well… Half don’t exist anymore or were closed five days in a row, and the others mainly cater lunch (and only dinner at weekends). 3. Noisy. I asked for a tranquil room en got the one next to the kitchen and common room. So I asked for another one which was arranged swiftly (nice!) but then the owner himself decided to have an entire conversation with my neighbours at 11 pm. Which is no fun with an alarm clock at 4 am. And somehow there are a lot of folks which don’t seem to mind that menu tours leave at 4 or 5 am and keep making noise after midnight. One thing for sure: can’t blame the alcohol. It’s a basic and decent place at basic and decent prices but because of the above mentioned I would not return or recommend it.
Clean, good bed, decent WiFi and breakfast.
