I stayed in a single room and it was comfortable and clean. The shared bathrooms and showers were good, always clean and also they provided good pack of snack to go, for the days you need to leave early for the tours. Staff was nice, location near the main place where all the tours ended. Very good option to stay in San Pedro!

The only downside is people coming/going @ all times of day/night for excursions- & the associated doorbell/rummaging in the room. But that’s less about the hostel & more about people’s self-awareness.

Price, information & assistance from the front desk. Andres was very attentive & the whole staff would help as best they could.

Campo Base is the kind of hostel that understands their market and really does a good job at providing guests with the comforts and information you need to make the most of your stay in San Pedro. Rodrigo helped us organise tours - incl. the trip across to Uyuni - and everything went to plan, because he knows exactly which agencies will do a good job. Go to Campo Base and you'll in very good hands. And the hostel is great too :)

This must happen at every other accommodation here, but there's really a lot of pressure to book tours.

Close to the bus station, clean, excellent breakfast, very social, easy to book tours in advance.

Best hostel in Atacama!! ! Super friendly staff (especially Rodrigo), they help you with all the booking of the tours and the tours have been amazing! Very social place, as a solo traveler you meet lots of other people to connect with. Always good vibes, very relaxed, amazing and very filling breakfast with good coffee. I would come back anytime! Thank you for everything, I loved it there!

For those who need more space to work, a fitness room, or a hostel bar, this might not be the best fit for you.

Rodrigo makes this a home away from home for you. Helping plan itineraries, booking transports, and all the small things you forgot you needed on the trip. He always responded quickly when I had a question or issue, showing he really cares that you have the best time in San Pedro.

I loved the dorm. It had lockers and shelves. The beds were comfortable and the wifi worked great. Breakfast was amazing! They had all the basics of a continental breakfast and they made pancakes and eggs. They also helped me with booking tours. Best hostal I stayed in Chile.

Really Nice place Room in a dorm of 4 was big with lockers. Close to the center You can book Tours with the hostel Staff is helpfull and you can ask for a breakfast to go if you leave early the morning.

The distance between the upper bunk bed and the ceiling is too low making it difficult to sit on the bed. I bumped my head to the ceiling multiple times. Privacy curtains would have been a nice addition.

Electric sockets near the bed. Good breakfast. They give it to go if you have to catch an early tour. Clean. Well organized. Free tea in the kitchen.

It would have been nice to have an option of a female dorm. Also, given that Atacama is predominantly a hiking destination, it would have been nice if people were leaving their hike boots outside dorms. 🫣

The hostal was clean and cozy, but wasn’t fancy. This was perfect for our budget friendly stay!

The host, Rodrigo, makes this place special! After booking, he will reach out with all the information you need for your stay in San Pedro which makes the trip planning process hassle free. He can book all of your tours and even airport transport with the best companies in town. When a flight delay changed our arrival time, he even helped rebook our tours to still allow us to go on all the ones we wanted to. The Hostal is an everything you need, though not fancy, it is clean, comfortable, and within walking distance of the town center (this is important- most tours drop off here!)

Showers could be warmer and more stable, but seeing as it’s a desert I think it’s quite understandable.

Rodrigo is an absolute legend. He is extremely helpful and will have all your tours organized in no time. And the hostel is friendly and clean and has a great breakfast. The facilities are quite simple but it has everything you need. Great hostel.

It's one of the best hostels I've stayed. The attention given by Rodrigo makes you feel like you're the only guest. I booked my tours through the hostel and they were very good! The buffet/unlimited breakfast was also very good. Close distance to bus station, 7min walk and a 10 min walk to the downtown area.

I felt really welcome in the hostel. The staff have really created a special place. I met amazing people and had such a good time. The support to book tours and airport shuttles made my stay so easy and fun. Hugo was always fun to chat to. The breakfast was consistently excellent!
