Very cheap - great for a 1 night stopover on Carretera Austral road trip Restaurant on site which was cheap and tasty Room was very small and basic but common areas with sofas and a stove available for use

Great location right on the waterfront. Breakfast with eggs included. Towels were provided. Heater in the room. Cozy lounge with fjord view and woodburner. Probably one of the best room deals in expensive Patagonia!

No heaters in the room. Very Cold and wet. The house is made of plywood, no isolation. Bathroom very small, simple and cold.

The rooms are on the second floor with a very steep/narrow staircase. Not an issue but could be difficult if you have a lot of bags. Would be nice to have a thicker curtain for the window to block light in the morning.

Breakfast and location were great, as were the staff/family running it. Very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable. Facilities/bathroom were simple but functional. Internet was good as well. Oh and they now have a credit card machine so you can hang onto your cash!

One of the rooms had a gap in the window so it was cold. The stairs up to the rooms are steep (not a problem for able adults). The room for three people was about the same size as the single rooms, just more beds, so it felt cramped. It's fine if you're going to be out all day and just need somewhere to sleep. Felt somewhat overpriced but this area in general is like that.

The owners are friendly and helpful. It's in a quiet spot. The beds were comfortable and had plenty of blankets. The shower worked well and we had no problems with hot water. You get a nice view of the water from the common area.

The staff were so kind and helpful. It’s obvious they care about their guests. The breakfast (included) was incredible! Hot water very plentiful and good water pressure. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve been in while on this trip!! So cozy with so many blankets. Be sure to bring cash to pay with (not required but preferred).

Uncomfortable bed - the mattress needs replacing as it sags & the springs stick out Noisy - can hear everything outside the room & downstairs…and when other guest use the shower a noisy water pump switches on

very friendly hosts. we felt directly welcome. it was very clean. There was hot water in the shower. An oven in the common room, overlooking the lake. The breakfast was delicious and directly served in the morning! We did not miss anything!

Family room with lake view. Small, noisy, dirty, old carpeting, old plastic bathroom floor, broken bin, spiderwebs in the windows, very hard white lights in the room. Not a romantic, cosy place... The floors are not even, so you feel 'drunk' now and then. Paper thin walls will get you no sleep. Not quiet, as we thought it would be. No rules according to silence after 10 p.m. The owner did not know we made a reservation and first tried to put us in a different room with rooftop view, even though we booked lake view. Never again.

We expected much more of this hostel. But if you like to talk to people all night in the common area with no rules and limitations, this is the place to be. The restaurant serves delicious meals! Nice lake view. Fortunately we could stay 2 nights, instead of 3 without a problem.

The owner of this hotel STOLE $2000.00 USA DOLLARS from me. I had paid him Chilean pesos I had in my bag; he knew I had money and where that money was. I hung my bag over the seat in the car. It was taking a long time for him to put the gas in and I had walked away to take a photo. It was then that HE STOLE MY MONEY. HE HAD ACCESS, KNOWLEDGE, OPPORTUNITY AND GREED. When I returned to my car I drove to the next town to fill the tank with gas and never left the car. I had not stopped or seen anyone since I had left the Ensenada hotel. When I went to,pay for the gas I found that MY MONEY HAD BEEN STOLEN at the hotel ENSENADA. THE MN WHO STOLE HAD ACCESS, OPPORTUNITY, KNOWLEDGE, and was WILLING TO STEAL. He is a THIEF. I knew that he would lie about stealing, the police would do nothing in that small community as I could not “prove” it and I should have licked the car and kept my bag with me. I worked at a prison for 4 years and knew a lot of thieves and how they work and the kind of people they were. I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT NO ONE EVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL. THIS MAN IS A THIEF. REMOVE ENSENADA HOSTERIA FROM YOUR SITE or you will bear responsibility too when someone else has money stolen!

We needed to find a stay next to Queulat National Park. Location was OK, breakfast was standard: eggs/ham/toasts/coffee.

The reviews about the steep stairs are true- they are very steep! This was not a problems for us, but we helped an elderly woman up them. Note that the stairs lead to the rooms, so you will have to go up and down them every time you go out.

The location of the property is right in front of the water and the shared space has large windows with a beautiful view. Breakfast was also very comprehensive with coffee, eggs, bread rolls, jam, cheese and ham. WiFi was flawless and the water in the shower was warm (although not hot). The hosts were very warm and friendly.

There are two shared bathrooms and one of them was very unclean and this was not due to another guest. The bathroom also seemed to be a storage for dirty cleaning tools. When we arrived there was no warm water and we had to wait for quite a while.
