Such a peaceful and lovely little property. The rooms were very small but immaculate. The loft upstairs is such a wonderful place to chill and look out over the city. The breakfasts were amazing and the staff were kind and helpful. Thank you!

The hotel is beautiful! Very clean and comfortable. The room at the top is amazing, and the free wine was very appreciated. The maps on the table are really cool. The breakfast was fabulous as the room was so comfy. I appreciated the environmental sustainability the hotel practices.

Juanita, Javiera, hector, Rodrigo, Johnathon and Andres were all excellent. The staff is just A+! It didn’t feel like a hotel, it felt like a home away from home. Breakfast was nice, many activities to do as well. Book activities in advance. We had a massage organized and the massage therapist came to us! It was great. I don’t have a bad thing to say!

For people who don’t like walking uphill a bit, there’s always Uber or a cab but it was a short few blocks into the city center.

These are some of the friendliest hotel staff I’ve met anywhere and they go above and beyond helping. It was like staying with friends. The rooftop lounge with wine and a view was also relaxing and ice to watch sunsets and sunrises. The morning breakfast was also healthy and yummy.

Wonderful ambience! Loved the rooftop room with views of the city. A great place to relax! The staff was so welcoming and friendly. Everyone spoke good English. Javiera at the front desk helped us arrange expeditions, and make alternate plans when boat trip was canceled due to wind. Many thanks!

The Wi-Fi never working during our stay. I also chatted with some other guests and it was a multiple day issue. We had data and others had a Chilean sim card, but this was a nuisance. Staff seemed understanding but reluctant to try any technical fixes (e.g. restarting the router/modem).

Great stay at Hotel Ilaia. Friendly and accommodating staff who spoke enough English to help with our weak Spanish, comfortable modern rooms, location easily walkable to town and restaurants. Fantastic home cooked breakfast. Would happily and easily choose this again next time we’re in town.

The rooms are great the bathrooms are a little small but functional.

The staff was awsome. The day we had a 6:00 am departure for seeing Penguins they had breakfast for us at 5:40 waiting. They arranged for any transportation we needed and it was quiet. The room on the roof was great to sit and unwind with a glass of wine all included!

Great staff and place was very comfortable and clean. They knew we were arriving late and reception made reservations for us in advance at very good restaurant. The next day we were greeted by Hector (front desk) and Juanita (chef). They made us feel right at home and made sure we got directions to where we were headed. This is a must stay place when in Punta Arenas. We already booked our return stay.

Bathroom was adequate, but small., otherwise everything was good.

Hotel Ilaia is a family run hotel and the staff we met were all very attentive, helpful and charming. All spoke English well. The hotel is within walking distance of some great restaurants, and not to far from the Centre of town. It seems to be well known to tour operators who will pick up from this hotel without complication. There is offstreet parking -which was important to us. Our room was very comfortable. WiFi worked well.

The only thing we were very disappointed with was the breakfast especially after reading the other reviews. There was no choice and no protein.

We really enjoyed our one night stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone that can walk up stairs. We had a car and there was free parking. We loved the rooftop seating area and free wine! The view was great. You need to climb up a metal inside spiral staircase to get there. The staff was friendly and helpful.

no major complaints I wish I would’ve know I needed an international plug. I did so much research and everything said my plug would fit so I didn’t have a way to plug anything in

cute little hotel on the top of the hill overlooking the city. rooms were spacious and clean with lots of light and places to put your things. the breakfast they offered was authentic and lovely. They had coffee and tea available all day and a roof top area with free wine. the staff were so kind and welcoming. would absolutely recommend staying here.
