A warm greeting. Alejandro was a marvellous host and provided a great tour for us visiting all of the highlights with a great amount of interesting information. His local knowledge is superb. He knows the weather and planned accordingly so that we would not miss anything - thank you! It was lovely to meet Ivonne too. Her hotel is right in the middle of everything.. A minute to shops and bars /restaurants and a short stroll to the sea. A few minutes further and you can walk to see Moai, especially at Sunset. Thank you Colette and Leslie (London)

Before making a reservation, I looked at all of the options in Rapa Nui and I'm SO glad we chose Inaki Uhi. The hotel provides transportation to and from the hotel and we were welcomed at the airport with beautiful leis! The hotel was conveniently located for walking to restaurants that were as close as across the street and as far as 4-5 blocks away. Our room was very large. It was modern, stylish and comfortable. This is a family-run hotel and the hotel hosts are Ivonne and Alejandro. Ivonne had an excellent breakfast available each morning including made to order eggs and fresh bread from the bakery next door. Ivonne provided excellent suggestions for places to eat in town. But, the most important aspect of our stay had to be service far above and beyond expectations. After getting back to the airport to leave, we discovered we had left our coats in the hotel lobby. Since the hotel was only 5 minutes from the airport, we decided that one of us would stay at the airport and they other would take a taxi back to the hotel for the coats. I got into a taxi, but the driver didn't speak English or accept credit cards so I exited the taxi and the driver drove off. . . . I then realized that I had left my phone in the taxi! My husband was able to reach Alejandro at the hotel who not only brought our coats, but also heroically helped my husband successfully track down my phone in record time!! He definitely saved the day and we were able to make our flight! THANK YOU, ALEJANDRO and INAKI UHI HOTEL!

We really enjoyed the staff at this hotel combined with the fact that it is owned by native Rapa Nui. We were picked up at the airport and returned to the airport by the hotel staff without an additional charge. We enjoyed the gardens, the breakfast and the location. It was right on the main street in Hanga Roa and an easy short walk to the ocean front. Many restaurants and cafes can be found in the area.

Charming Stay with Room for Improvement

The occasional noise from neighboring rooms was bothersome, as were the late-night smoking and conversations in communal areas. Additionally, the early closing of breakfast services, the water heating issues due to tank-based supply, encounters with cockroaches in the bathroom, and the high price compared to similar quality accommodations in more developed locations were disappointing aspects of the stay.

I appreciated the delicious breakfast offerings, the extremely helpful staff who consistently inquired how they could assist, and the charming presence of free-roaming chickens on the property, which added a unique and homey feel to the stay.

    Absolutely nothing.

The daily breakfast that was included was fantastic! The room was lovely, Evonne and Alex our guide, were outstanding. They made sure our stay and tours were memorable. It was perfect being on Main Street. The bakery next door was yummy and a short ask to great restaurants down the street on the water with fabulous views. The beds were comfortable. Quiet.

There were no coffee/tea making facilities in the rooms. Even if not in-room, it would have been nice to have been able to make a coffee/tea at times other than breakfast. If it was there, then I missed seeing it.

We loved staying here. The room was simple, but ample and nicely decorated and quiet and well located in the main street of Hanga Roa within walking distance of shops, cafes, bars and the coast. Good bathroom. Good air-conditioning. There was an in-room safe for valuables. Outside each room was a little clothesline for wet clothes- very well thought-out. Our hosts and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good, lots of choices. Ivonne's scrambled eggs with chopped bacon in it was especially yummy. Alejandro also was our guide into the National Park and was very knowledgeable, very friendly and very helpful. We were so glad we had chosen to stay at this family-owned small hotel.

The water temp in the shower was all or nothing (cold or scalding hot). The toilet seat was also cracked and could pinch if you weren't careful.

The staff were incredibly friendly at all times! The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was really excellent, within walking distance of most of the village. Breakfast service was delicious

This is a family-run hotel and you feel as part of the family as soon as you arrive. The hotel arranged airport transfers (from and to) and gave me a quick tour of the main street and the coast line. The room was big, bright and comfortable equipped with a small fridge and AC. The wifi was working well all the time. They can also arrange the island tours for the guests.

Lack of air con in our room is the only thing that we would have liked but it did not spoil our stay at the hotel.

Not all the rooms have air con so important to check/confirm if this is important to you. Located on town's the main street so very convenient for anything you might need. Where the hotel wins is the tours that they provide, they are beyond excellent. For that reason alone we would stay again regardless of the facilities they offer. Probably the best tours we have experienced anywhere.

Beautiful, friendly hotel right in the heart of Hanga Roa. Fantastic guide who knew all the best spots to go and knew when they would be free of other tourists. He was the very best! Plus, the ceviche restaurant across the street was delicious. We ate there several times.

Because he is so busy helping others, we sometimes feel lost if he is not around.

Its a bit motel style, so big window by entrance and passage, the shower is not constant, takes time to get warm too, but all irrelevant, not important.

The people, super sweet and helpful, the location down town, especially with breakfast, more then ok, watching and greeting the non stop stream of locals getting their bread, the wifi by the way is top
