The mattress in our room was a bit uncomfortable.

The house is in a beautiful spot in the artistic part of town, it has a view of the harbour. There is a bus station close to the place. The host is super nice and helpful wherever possible.

The location is on the hill and you will have an amazing view from their terrace. Hostal user get 10% off in the Coffee place. Our bathroom was huge.

Superb views and a friendly atmosphere. Franco, the owner, is a natural host - very friendly and attentive. It's an old house with a small funky cafe and with everything most guests would need for a pleasant stay.

The check in time was at 2PM, which feels a bit late… The owner was accommodating though and managed to have it ready for 1PM, which was very much appreciated.

The hostel owner was warm, friendly and very helpful. The hostel was well located and had a lovely patio with a wonderful view over the city. We stayed in a private room which was very comfortable and also had a little balcony, which we used to chill, drink beers and listen to music in the evening. There is a shared bathroom, but the facilities were very modern and new and we barely noticed that it was shared with other guests.

Improved mattress is needed

Metálica hostel is lovely with a great location and stunning view on a bay. Staff were super friendly and engaged. We used kitchen and found it well equipped. Our room (yellow) was spacious and clean.

Great location - very close to all the sights of Valparaiso but also a very safe area. It is a quiet neighborhood which is great for a calm sleep at night. Staff were so kind and helpful - special shout-out to Franco for calling a Taxi to the bus station for me. The Hostel has its own Cafe with vegan options.

Very thin walls and noisy floor. Didn't have hot water for shower and the bed was sunken in the middle making it very uncomfortable for me and my friend to sleep on.

This is a charming painted hotel with great views of the city and bay. We had a room with a view and shared the bathroom with one other room, which was fine. Staff are very friendly. Downstairs there is a cafe where you can get coffee and pastries worth visiting for breakfast on the balcony. I’d stay there again and would recommend.

Everything was perfect. The location, reception, service, cleanliness, wifi, room, coffee and terrace view. I stayed here for one week and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Walking distance to all of the best spots and street art. Truly excellent accommodations.

Very welcoming and friendly environment, not to mention the views from the terrace are exceptional. We stayed in a double room with private bathroom, the room was very spacious, had great views and was homely feel. Franco was an excellent host.

Nothing! All was great

Absolutely the best place to stay in Valparaiso. I have rented a yellow room on top that has a stunning view on the ocean. It’s a unique experience to have your coffee with the view and delicious breakfast that’s available in the hotel. Franco who’s the host and the owner is the best - super helpful and sweet. Staff girls are angels. Definitely 10 out of 10!
