Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Czech RepublicThe shower is terrible. No doubt the worst shower during my 2 months in latin america. The stream is almost non-existent, and you get either blizzard cold, or lava hot water. Nothing in between. Please fix this.

IrelandThere was a commission fee on top of my total amount. I’ve used Booking .com forever and the “amount you will pay at property” is usually correct. After confirming it usually totals your stay + fees and taxes. I was charged extra commission here. The guy at reception was very polite about it and showed me the breakdown in my PDF invoice. Which was correct! So more the fault of Booking .com platform. Just annoying that the total was more than anticipated. This obviously affects your decision when doing price comparison for other properties
Nice area. Felt safe and close to supermarkets and restaurants. The room was comfortable and clean. The shower was great - hot and powerful. Kitchen is fully equipped. Staff were friendly and they accept card.

Great location, near many restaurants, night life is awesome, safe neighborhood. Though the furniture is not at their greatest and the pool is not ready to use when i stay, other facilities work well, a green garden and helpful laundry room. The owner is supper nice, try everything to understand English and make us comfortable. There i also a Netflix available. Will be back. Recommend for a budget trip.

NorwayThey charged me 20USD more than it says on my app, so this is not the option if you are opting for an honest and economic accommodation, the pool is tiny and cold, there is little space out in the garden to chill, the shower water is always cold, thin walls so you hear all the other guests (and their babies), a little long walk to the metro, quite crowded

IrelandThe room was so old there was wires hanging from the TV into the radiator. The walls were all chipped and cracked. The window didn’t close so we had to keep that door closed where it was because loads of mosquitoes where in the room. The shaded bathroom was not nice to use. The Mat in there was very old and stained, the toilet sheet was very annoying and wouldn’t stay up. I was glad I only stayed for one night.
It was cheap but needs a big update renovation.
