Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe heaters in our rooms were exceptionally hot at night which interrupted our sleep. We were unable to turn them off. Boxed lunches were too expensive
Breakfast was very good! Loved the eggs and the fresh fruit. Only wish was for steamed milk for coffee, availability of decaffeinated coffee, or latte machine. Loved the common room. Dinner was excellent! Staff were friendly! Bathrooms were wonderful ! Rooms were clean !

BrazilThere is a long way to go between parking and the hotel. If you have large suitcases, ask for help. The wood floor in the hotel makes some noise, so ask a room away from stairs if you are a light sleeper.
Beautiful hotel nearby Torres del Paine National Park. Awesome landscape of the Towers from the hotel. There are plenty of options for breakfast, including tasty omelets. Besides having more expensive dishes at the hotel restaurant comparing with restaurants in Puerto Natales, we experienced delicious food there. Large room with a big bathroom. There is no hair dryer in-unit, though you can borrow a very good one at the front desk. Very nice explanations about activities in Torres del Paine from the hotel guide (Sebastian). I would come back, when returning to Torres del Paine.

GermanyOvernight prices could be lower compared to other accommodations.
One of a best stays during our 3-week trip through Patagonia. Check-in was easy with super-friendly staff, we even got luggage support from the (free) parking. Our room was amazing (end of the corridor), spacious with a spectacular view to the mountains. Bathroom was modern und spacious as well. Breakfast with a great variety of food (compared to our other Patagonian accommodations). We enjoyed dinner two times, great taste and really good quality. Free tea during the day and a comfortable lounge. Nice surroundings, lots of horses, a little walk-way to the river.

United StatesDeck repair going on outside our window in the afternoon and even into the evening. Front desk receptionists were not very informative about procedures for activities and lunches. We felt a bit left to figure things out on our own which is a little tricky with the language barrier.
Beautiful view. Great guide for trails. Horseback riding available right from the hotel.

New ZealandBreakfast could be improved, there were a lot of brown squashed bananas and every time we arrived the serving platters seemed to be empty so we'd have to ask if there was any fruit/bread/yoghurt left, but I would say that of many hotels, so only a minor thing
My husband didn't expect much of our Patagonia accom, so he was blown away! Pampa Lodge exceeded both our expectations! The view of the main mount group was epic - from our room, the dining area, everywhere. From our room we'd be watching the weather blow in over the range, and then a Patagonian hawk would swoop right in front of the window. And then a couple of majestic horses would come meandering into view. Followed by some happy working dogs with big hairy coats. While not being 'horse people' as such, the horses really elevated our experience. Went for a 3 hr horse ride too - thoroughly recommend. The room and bathroom was nice, spacious and clean. And the food was actually pretty darn good. We've stayed in a lot of national parks all over the world, and know that we can't expect city-quality. While breakfast was a bit average, they really did do a good job of some of the dinner meals - red meat in particular. My husband's steak and burger were both excellent and would hold their own in Santiago.

This is an utterly excellent place to stay. It’s about 10 min drive to the entrance of the Torres del Paine national park on a river. There are other hotels by the Rio Serrano, but it’s hard to believe any are as wonderful as this. There’s parking and then a walk along a wooden walkway, past lots of low trees and shrubs and grazing horses. At reception you get a fantastic welcome. Staff were sent to collect our bags and take to the room, the walks at the park explained, and we were shown around. The restaurant is fabulous with a majestic view over the river and mountains, as was our room. Immaculately clean, spacious, bright, airy bedroom which had a really good bed and shower. This is the place of dreams! Food at the restaurant was absolutely excellent, as were the brilliant staff. They were so welcoming and friendly and helpful. It really made for an excellent experience. The Calafate Sours (pisco sours made with Patagonian berries) were delicious. Genuinely one of the best places we’ve ever stayed.
