The window in the room couldn't close, it's part of the hotel sitting on a rock on the sea I guess but it can get pretty cold if you always have a large drought through the window

This really an hotel with character, decadent in many parts but still very charming.the view from our room was amazing, we had a lookout on the entire coast.. The restaurant downstairs is also a good option if you can't be bothered to walk to the nearby restaurants.

The place deserves a renovation, and much better odor management (some corridors were 'scented' by the restaurant's kitchen and by a foul-smelling basement). Parking was being rebuilt, so it's not great at the moment but it should be ok when finished.

Breakfast was very good but I would have preferred natural juice. The view and the sound of the sea from the dining room and from our room was both soothing and renewing

The downside was that I didn't feel the heating was working, and I had to call the staff, but they fixed it immediately. The TV also didn't seem to work; it had a complicated way of accessing the channels that no one informed me about upon arrival. I called the staff, and they tried to assist me, but my room definitely had an issue with the TV. They offered to switch me to another room, but honestly, who wants to watch TV when you have a beautiful view like the one this place offers? So, I preferred to stay in the same room.

If you're looking for a place close to the sea to stay, nothing will get you closer than this hotel; you're literally right above the ocean, and I think that's the hotel's best feature. Secondly, it's worth noting that you feel like you're sleeping in a part of Viña del Mar's history, with the added sensation of sleeping on a ship. It has a vintage charm, but I believe that's what makes it special. The hotel's value seems fair to me, considering I can't imagine the cost of maintaining this place. The music inside is completely nostalgic, but I think it suits the atmosphere perfectly—what's more nostalgic than a sailor? Plus, I insist, this is a piece of history, and I appreciate that it's accessible. I read some reviews where people mentioned the breakfast wasn't sufficient, but I have to disagree. My mom and I were quite happy with it.

Difficult to park in a small number of spaces immediately off the main road - the hotel has to be approached from Vina del Mar. If you miss the space it could be time consuming to double back if the traffic is heavy.

This is such an atmospheric hotel - wonderful restaurant and views. It has a 1930's feel and incredibly stylish. Don't be put off by the location on the main road.

AVOID AVOID AVOID - 16 MARCH 2023 - DISGUSTING DIRTY OLD SMELLY HORRIBLE HOTEL WITH FILTHY KITCHEN AND STAFF WHO STOLE MY MONEY REFUSING TO REFUND AND TELLING BOOKING.COM I WAS A NO SHOW - the reviews are a lie - its foul - 200 meters up the road is an honest local hotel immaculately clean for 50 dollars ( somthing plaza )- This hotel has a reputation for people walking out - it stinks - the lift is falling apart - there is thick dirt everywhere - the ocean view balconies are full of debris , mud and dirt - its dark , dingy and smelks like an incontinent old persons clothes - YUK - I was hoping for a nice relaxing two nights by the sea after 6 weeks hard travel over five countrues and I was badly and sadly let down by the false reviews - please do not upset yourselves by trying this place - i travel alot 86 countrues - this is the worse place I have ever seen in 30 years of travel .ABSOLUTELY DUSGUSTINGLY DIRTY .YUk x 1000

Mosquitoes… We had to buy a spray to be able to sleep. Even then, we woke up seriously bitten all over. Not sure if just by mosquitoes or something else. The overall experience is very frustrating. At 130 dollars a night, it should have been a lot better, cleaner, maintained.

Location, the music at the bar. This is what could be a remarkable hotel. The decor is beautiful but it needs maintenance. I don’t care for all the concrete outside to make it look like a boat, but the inside is beautiful. However, the carpet is old and needs to be replaced. Wallpaper is peeling, too. Personnel is very nice. We loved breakfast: scrambled eggs, toast, cheese, ham, butter and jam. Good shower.
