Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The breakfast location is great because it overlooks the ocean a stone throw away. However, the breakfast offer was a bit limited

United StatesThe only thing I didn’t love was the quirky bath tub and shower set up. Shower was only hand held which was difficult to use and the bath tub did not have a stopper.
The string was spectacular and convenient to town. The complimentary airport transfer service was an added bonus.

United KingdomThe dogs barking at night can be irritating and the bathroom could have been cleaner. WiFi was bad in the rooms but better at the restaurant and reception.
Location of the hotel is in the Taha district where most of the restaurants and other shops are so the location was great. The hotel restaurant was wonderful, spacious and a great view of the ocean. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast options was good, but maybe not so if you are a vegetarian. My room was large enough for a single traveller but perhaps the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. The setting of the hotel is lovely with the palm trees and closeness to the ocean.

United StatesI only stayed for two nights, and the first day was rainy so I dragged some dirt in the room. I cleaned it up a bit the first night, but was relying on room service to mop it, but they didn't come the next morning.
The location is great - it's off the main road so it's quiet and you get a partial view of the ocean. They have water in the lobby so you can refill at any point in time and a communal fridge. AC in the room worked great. I forgot an adapter and the hotel provided me one.

JapanEven on the middle of the Pacific, the room was plenty of things that you need for the stay. And above all, the staff was incredibly nice. Especially the Japanese lady who welcomed us from the beginning throughout the stay was so nice.

ChileThe wifi! though it was free, it disconnected automatically every hour and it was a bit difficult to reconnect. Also it would be nice to have airport pickup option (even with an extra charge). The taxis at the airport overcharge and figuring out how to get to the hotel is an innecessary stress arriving to the Island. I tried uber but never found any cars available.
The breakfast! is really really good, they have a very wide variety of savoury and sweet options, and it changes everyday. The chef himself warms up the quiches or eggs for you. Everyone in the staff is helpfull and nice. The room was tidy clean, we had a triple with 3 beds, everything was perfect. The property has beautiful gardens, and nice places to sit and watch the sea or sunset. Complimentary coffee/tea station 24/7 is a nice plus also. It has a good location, a few blocks from the city center.

SpainIn very few places on earth I needed to pay that much of a very nice hotel room. Literally I believe it was the most expensive. And probably I don't really understand the economics of a small island, there are 2 categories of properties on it and you could differentiate between very expensive and nice and quiet inexpensive and also nice. So yeah, I didn't get the pricing AT ALL - 3 nights were the equivalent of a month of rent in Barcelona and I stayed a full week. It was close to a quarter of rent :-)
This hotel is amazing, the property is very nice, it is very well situated and most of all the people that work there are really helpful and nice. It's very close to the ocean, actually I had a partial view of it from my bed, the breakfast is one of the most complete, the pool is very nice also. But you simply don't need to spend time at the hotel on this small, but amazing island so as I comment below I believe the pricing was unreasonably high. Otherwise everything is just perfect.

ChileThe insulation of the room are not so good. You can hear when somebody go to the bathroom in other room
The receptionist Arii has an exceptional service. The personal wad very good, they can speak Spanish, English, French, Japanese and Tahitanian. In the breakfast you should be attended by the chef Aldo, Marco an Jan. The breakfast was very good type buffet, with a lot of alternatives, in our case my wife has lactose intolerance and they have several options that can make a very good experience. Unfortunately the lunch and dinner was not open, but less than 2 blocks you have plenty of alternatives of restaurants and a supermarket. If you want a cheap option for evening you can go to the restaurant El Club del Sandwich close to the fishermen's cove. Also you are only 2 blocks from downtown and a lot of alternatives of handicrafts and stores

United StatesThe Wi-Fi was marginal at best. Came and went for no reason. There were two Starlink networks - one for staff and one for everyone else which they obviously had not paid for adequate bandwidth. Built in 1997, it was tired but about what we would have expected.
Staff was great, location was nice, pool was fine, pool bar was fun. All Latam flight crews stayed there so it must be about as good as it gets without going to the one 5 star property on the island.
