We stayed here four nights in early March, and were very satisfied with everything. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful (even in the face of an air conditioner breakdown one day, when repair service couldn’t be obtained until the next day and they eventually offered to let us sleep in another vacant room for that night). The location was perfect, just the right walking distance into downtown Hanga Roa, and of course with the Ahu Tahai just across the way. Excellent restaurant next door as well. Breakfast on the patio was perfect. Wi-fi was available in the central common area, and was adequate. We rented their Suzuki Jimmy at a very reasonable rate for one day to drive around the island by ourselves after taking two days of guided tours. One bit of advice might be to avoid Room No. 7 if you have a choice, because it is less shielded from the late afternoon hot direct sunshine making it impossible to sit on the patio and uncomfortable in the room when you return after a day’s outing, even with the curtains closed. However, to counter this the central open air lounge area is mostly in shade and seemed to always have a cooling breeze.

The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and well kept and overlook Ahu Tahai. Breakfast served on the porch every day is a wonderful and tasty treat.

Romina is an excellent host. She took care of our total stay incl. airport transfers, daily trips on the island, recommendations for restaurants and sharing her insider views. She was very flexible and super friendly. The room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated with flowers. We had a little patio in front where we could sit & enjoy. Location is right next to Ahu Tahai, perfect place for sunset and stargazing. Shortest path to the city centre is via Ahu Tahai which can be challenging after sunset due to lack of lights

Can’t think of anything

This is such a charming little lodge in the most perfect location. You are literally overlooking the coast and an Ahu with Moais from your bed and terrace, and the town is in walking distance. No car needed…you step out of the airport, and somebody is holding a sign with your name and takes you to the hotel. Our room was nicely furnished, had a well functioning AC and a spacious modern bathroom with separate toilet. The staff is just lovely and very friendly and helpful. They don’t have a breakfast room,, so breakfast is served on your terrace. Can’t get any better than this, and all at a very reasonable price!

The hotel was great, located not too far from town but close to some of the monuments. The room was comfortable, the staff was helpful, and every morning we had breakfest brought to us where we ate it on our little deck. The hotel added to the wonderful experience of Easter Island.

Location! Location! Location! It was the best place to watch the sunset and reaching town was a breeze walking along the oceanside path. The staff were always helpful and the room was cozy and well appointed.

The tile floor of the shower is slippery - be careful stepping in! The biscuits included daily with breakfast were tasteless. Please find a different biscuit or bread.

The location was fantastic. We had a good view of the moai at Tahai from our porch and the view at sunset was even more spectacular. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was adequate. We enjoyed the visits from the chickens and hearing them crow! It was convenient having a restaurant only a few steps away. We appreciated the transfer from and to the airport. Communications with the office before arrival with our questions were answered quickly and clearly. Romina is wonderful!

Seeing Ahu Tahai from the room's large windows and from the balcony. Staff super helpful and kind. So so close to the famous sunset viewing location and to the must-seel museum. Want to come back again.

The hotel is extremely well located, next to monuments that can be visited without a guide and a 10-minute walk to the town's city centre. Facilities are very clean and service is wonderful, with fresh breakfast being brought to your room. A special thank you to the staff that is very attentive and helped us long before the booking and throughout our stay with great dedication. Our stay at Takarua lounge definitely made our stay in Easter Island even more memorable.

Beautiful location, you could see a Moai right in front of the hotel. The staff was super nice and attentive; gave us both welcoming and departing gifts. Highly recommend. Easily booked two amazing tours through them, purchased the park pass with a link they provided, and airport pickup/drop off was included!

The walls are paper-thin so you can hear the neighbor’s alarm clock and more.

There was enough space to comfortably unpack clothes and toiletries so we could feel settled. Breakfast was varied and abundant. All the staff were so warm and friendly offering restaurant advice and recommended an excellent tour group to make our stay memorable. We even rented their car for the day to see the rest of the island on our own which made it so con. Definitely a well-outfitted lodge to make our stay seamless.
