Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWe liked everything. We enjoyed our stay.
Treehouse Patagonia is an excellent place to stay before and after hiking in Torres del Paine. The staff is very friendly, the facilities are very comfortable, quiet and clean. The owners have created a bed and breakfast atmosphere with an great breakfast and accessible kitchen if you decide to prepare your own food. I would definitely stay at Treehouse again.

It’s a well appointed hotel and the staff are incredibly friendly. We stayed there for 2 separate nights on our way to and from Torres del Paine, and it was a great place to stay in between buses. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Great breakfast as well. And storage options to leave bags behind while trekking.

AustraliaThe host Gerardo was an absolute legend he helped us out a lot with last minute preparations for Torres del Paine and even lent us hiking poles and a backpack which absolutely saved us. Breakfast was amazing. Location was only a short walk from the bus stop or a 2 min drive by taxi and very close to a lot of restaurants and shops. Perfect place to stay either side of Torres del Paine trek.

AustraliaWe were incredibly happy with our stay here and this place was exactly what we were looking for - a well run, boutique accommodation with caring, friendly staff and attention to detail throughout. Nice rooms and amenities, comfortable beds, good showers, a generous continental breakfast, luggage storage in case required, and an easy walk to restaurants and cafes around town. For those hiking, can either walk to the bus stop to Torres Del Paine (10-15 mins) or take an Uber. Very highly recommended - many thanks!

FrancePerfect stay at Treehouse Patagonia. Very comfortable room, lovely staff and amazing breakfast, which we were able to take even earlier than the official time as we were leaving to the W trek! We stayed before and after the trek; and it was ideal as they kept our big bags in lockers, and there was a washing machine we could use. Everything has been well thought of. Thank you again!!

CanadaThe host is so lovely and helpful! Room was clean, location was fantastic (could walk to the bus station in the a.m.), breakfast delicious, and the price was great. They allowed us to store our bags for a small fee while we did the W trek even though we weren’t staying there after the hike. Highly recommend this accommodation!

CanadaThis was a great stay, the owner of the hostel even noticed we did not have hiking poles when we set out for our day trek to Torres Del Paine and he gave us two sets to use for the hike! The self serve breakfast was a great touch and the location was perfect. Our bed was also extremely comfortable which we needed after a long day of hiking

United KingdomWe loved our stay here! The staff were so kind and helpful, the facilities were great (use of the kitchen, lots of breakfast options, nice cosy shared space), and the location was nice - about 10 minutes walk into the centre, on a quieter street which meant we got a lot of sleep following our excursion.

SwitzerlandThe only regret was to stay only one night
Very comfortable and “warm” place, full of nice details. The room has space and a lot of possibilities to hang your clothes, same in the bathroom… breakfast was so good, they leave everything for you, from hand made yogurt to fruit, jams, eggs, bread etc. I really loved this place

United StatesNothing comes to mind -- we really enjoyed our stay! Just as a note, luggage storage is not free and was about 14 USD/day.
They let us check-in a bit early once our room was ready and also had an earlier check-in time than most places, so that was a huge plus. Really cozy common area with lots of books to flip through and a fireplace -- perfect for a super rainy and windy day like we had when we stayed. Coffee and tea were available at all times. Bedroom was clean and cozy, and bathroom was well-stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Decent water pressure. Breakfast was great -- there was yogurt with granola, toast, orange juice, and even eggs set out that you could cook by yourself, to your liking. Kitchen was also open to use for anyone who wanted to make a meal instead of eating out.

United StatesThe only complaint was the window in the shower did not close (there was no handle) so when it turned cold, I had to use a knife to close it.
We loved the self-serve breakfast, which was available from 6:00AM. We loved talking with the owner and his family who were very warm and welcoming. He gave us great information about the National Park and surrounding sites. His recommendations were greatly appreciated. We loved that he provided a washing machine and dryer even though it was an additional cost.

Really liked this property - the en-suite room was warm and comfortable with everything you could need. The communal area was excellent along with the self service breakfast. I wish I had known before I arrived that I could cook my own food in the kitchen
