Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere could be a sign directing guests where to park. We parked in a lot near reception and just as we got out of the car a security guard rather rudely told us to move it to another lot across the street. That didn’t make a good first impression.
The communication leading up to our stay was excellent. Since the restaurant would be closed after we arrived, they sent us a list of suggestions for other restaurants in the area without me having to ask. The staff was very helpful, the property so beautiful and the room exceptionally comfortable and beautiful.

United KingdomNothing - couldn’t recommend more!
We stayed at the lodge for the final few days of our honeymoon and it was truly incredible. The individual lodges are tucked away within the vines and feel private and exclusive (there are only 7/8 lodges). The room was large, comfortable, clean and done to a top specification. Things were done thoughtfully - like the Netflix account and remote control blinds. Great breakfast and restaurant! The staff were responsive, helpful and lovely. There’s a pool and hot tubs nestled amongst the vineyard as well. We received a bottle of wine on arrival and did the wine tour which we really enjoyed.

AustraliaNothing really. The only thing to note is that parking is about 100m from the villas.
An amazing place to stay. The villa was really well setup in the middle of the vines at Viu Manent. We stayed here for 3 nights rather than stay in Santiago at the end of a 6 and a bit week trip in South America. It was the perfect way to end our trip! We also made use of the pool as it was hot. We had a late lunch at Rayeula (the ribs are spectacular) one day, and ate at the Food and Wine Studio the next night. The first night we had a cheese plate that we put together from shopping in Santa Cruz (about a 15 minute drive away) with supermarkets etc. Breakfast was delicious - museli with fresh fruit and nuts, eggs, toast, coffee, etc. Really friendly staff. We also had a day trip over to Playa Llico on the coast, checking out some of the lakes, salt farms and forests. Fast Wifi.

United StatesThe rooms could use more towels, plus washcloths! Also things like body lotion (a must) q-tips, tissues, shower cap, etc. Hot water can run out of you take a bath and then each shower off afterwards. Heated floors would have been a nice touch. The pool while beautiful is was super cold and not clear enough when we were there to use, and hot tubs looked dirty and were not hot at all. Service at the pool for wine and snacks would be nice. And it would be nice if reception would host an outdoor wine happy hour each evening to gather everyone together. Rayuela should consider staying open every night even if it’s a smaller menu to offer. Would be nice if guests got a discount to the winery for wine tasting although maybe you do - and no one told us.
We loved the location and how new, clean and modern the loft rooms are. The balcony/patio area is so lovely and the bathtub is a luxurious touch. We also felt the room was nice and cool thanks to the AC. And loved the touch of the electric shades. Bed was comfortable. The pool is pretty to look at (just was super cold and not clear enough when we were there and hot tubs looked dirty and were not hot). Both restaurants were great - wish they had Reyuela opened every night for dinner. Breakfast was perfect. Staff were very friendly. We loved that the fridge was stocked with lots of wine choices, but some snacks, chips, etc would have also been nice to have as an option to purchase from the minibar. See more @mariathewineblonde
