Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe restaurants are expensive so guests need to be prepared for that, so is the laundry service. They really need to provide much more information in English for non-Chinese visitors (e.g the WeChat mini programme). Could do with an Italian restaurant and simple Western lunch options.
Beautiful hotel, amazing facilities, lots to do for children. Really brilliant hotel (+aquarium and water park access) and the food was all excellent. Very clean. Responsive and attentive staff. Great place for a family to have a holiday.

ChinaThe woman staff at the entrance of the shopping area near the lobby was trying to waylay every guest she deemed not a guest staying at the hotel, acting like a policewoman inspecting a suspect. She was very rude indeed.
Great service from the designated room steward. Great food at the lounge on the 48 floor. The water park was fantastic. The kids love it.

AustraliaThe coffee at breakfast was not good. The baristas did not seem to know how to make a coffee. The service was fine but not personal.
The room was nice and clean. We liked the unlimited entry to the aquarium and waterpark as part of the hotel stay. We also liked the live band that played in the Tiki bar.

United StatesThe shuttle from the airport is terrible in that it makes so many beeping sounds. It has to do with a feature of the seatbelts which is unnecessary and terrible. Also there is no where to buy any beer or snacks when at the pool. The "tikki bar" doesn't open until 16:00 and that was the answer when I said I wanted to buy a beer. There should be a simple shop like 711 or something to buy simple things without having to pay resort prices. Or any option for snacks and drinks at the pool at anytime.
The food choice was great and the Saffron buffet was always phenomenal for anytime of day. The aquarium was maybe the best part. We enjoyed it normally twice a day!

ChinaChecking in is one of the worst experiences for a 5 star hotel. Each person takes at latest 20-30 minutes. Kids are running around like it's a circus, and the process seems a bit disorganized.
Breakfast has a very large selection of everything. The water park is a nice treat to have along with the aquarium.

Germany2 beds in a room seems to be rare, but for a family its necessary otherwise you have to book two rooms, which is very expensive, and you can not leave the kids alone in a room in the night, when they are 7 years old. Check in is only possible in the afternoon, so it is not convenient, when you arrive at noon or earlier, excuse we are fully booked. Middle in the week side season Very crowded, long queues at the breakfast or afternoon or dinner. Internet only one per mobile number available. Dinner had fixed meal, so kids couldn't choose,, At least two choices would be good.
Still a lady tried to give us one room earlier, so we could change our cloth and could go already in to the water park. The food is very good, various and fresh., Everybody tried to fulfill all wished. Beer, wine everything included. Water park entrance included

ChinaRoom cost is pretty excessive for what it is. To be aware that kids must be over 1.22m in order to be able to do all slides and attractions in the water park. Some attractions closed in the water park and long queues to be expected.
The fact that all was included in the room cost: visit of the aquarium, entry to the Aquapark during the whole stay. Also, we had access to the 48th floor lounge which was convenient for the breakfast and including free afternoon tea and others. At arrival the lobby was huge and crowded which can be scary at first thought but the personnel was present for welcoming the guests, attentioned and helpful.

United KingdomIf I was to be picky the only couple of things that would have made it outstanding would have been if there had been some outside balcony furniture and if there had been a coffee machine in the room.
The service was absolutely amazing. From the second we walked in the staff were on hand meeting our taxi and taking care of our luggage. Someone then met us in the lobby and then sorted out getting us checked with with the receptionist translating mandarin into English for us. Anytime we needed any help there was always someone on hand to deal with it. Very, very impressive. And the facilities are fantastic! Great for families and somewhere that will definitely leave lasting memories.

ChinaNot a great choice of restaurants and restaurants are overpriced and with small portions (eg.Crab Kitchen).Gordon Ramsey’s restaurant was a disappointment as well with missing benchmark dish. Prices for the same things are different within the property (e.g. the same ice cream had about 10 RMB difference according to the location as well as the coconut water). Also, beach was closed which takes away the charisma of the resort.
Services, Facilities , aqua park, fitness center, friendly and helpful staff lots of stuff for kids (but everything is paid extra)
