Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThere is not really anything that i did not like. Pictures are accurate and you get what you pay for.
I really enjoyed my stay at Beijing Elegant Seasons Park Apartment. The apartment is conviently located in a calm neighborhood and is close to two Metro stations (10 minutes to Dongzhimen, where you can also take the aiport express train and 15 minutes to Worker´s stadium). A short walk also takes you to either the Liangma river or the bustling Sanlitun Village. The window looks out onto a kindergarden and sometimes the kids are doing exercise in the morning (this did not bother me at all, but could be a problem for someone who likes to sleep in). There is also a convenience store in the apartment complex where you can buy day-to-day products as well as a Jenny Lou´s just 2 minutes from the gate. When i got there, the hosts colleague picked me up at the gate to hand me the key and show me around. Communication was always good and all questions i had where answered imminently by Wechat. As you can tell from the pictures, the apartment is not exactly huge, but it is big enough that i could comfortably stay for 11 days. Apart from all regular appliances it also includes a washing machine. Facilities where cleaned every two (?) days while i was not home, which is also a great asset.

This is the best location. 8 minutes far from the subway and 5 minutes from the central bus station where from go a direct bus line to the Great Wall. Safety area. You can reach to everywhere easily. Direct metro line to the Int. Airport. Best price value rate. The owner helped me to register at the police station. The wifi is fast, the flat is clean and comfortable.

PhilippinesThe location was fantastic, quite close to the Sanlitun area. The facilities too were great for a serviced apartment. It was easy to communicate to the host via WeChat, and he was responsive to my needs.

NetherlandsOne thing I (still) really dislike is the shower with the hose coming our of the ceiling and the showerhead tilting over whenever it gets to much pressure. I had to make a contraption with shampoo bottles to keep it in place and not feel like I'm constantly fighting a water-spitting dragon. Also, the apartments have some design flaws. While they are clean, the choice of cheap non-water resistant wood for parts of the bathroom (like around the basin and the door) means things tend to look rather worn and damaged. A spare roll of toilet paper and some garbage bags would have been handy. Neverthless, I'd come again.
This was the second time I stayed here. I needed a serviced apartment with washing machine for one week and this is close to perfect. Very affordable and you basically have everything you need. It also gives you a good idea about the way many Chinese people live. The bed is very comfortable, there's a desk to work on and a kitchen. Having lived in Chinese apartments, I know not to expect excessive luxury but efficienty use of space. The cleaning lady comes every two days. Metro is a 10 minute walk away and next to the metro there's a shopping mall with many food options in the basement. Besides this, Dongzhimen is a rather quiet neighbourhood.

United KingdomA little difficult to get past security into the compound - as a foreigner. Once inside - everything is easy.
Fully equipped little apartment - full facilities in good condition. Most comfortable and convenient. Not too far from the Metro and Malls with lots of restaurants.

Studio was true to photos and value for money. Location was exceptional! We chose this place as it was near city centre but also offered direct airport line (ride to capital terminal 3 was about 25mins). We strolled to Sanlitun for dinner and shopping. Meeting point for our Mutianyu tour happened to be ard the corner as well. Thankful for our host for safekeeping our luggage after check out time so that we could tour w ease till our evening flight!

AustraliaAmazing view, nice and helpful staff. Lovely ‘Auntie’ comes to clean the room once every two days to make stuff tidy and neat. 10 minutes walk to subway station is great. Quite interesting to hear the Christian songs the primary school ‘next door’ play every day. Need to let stuff know arrival time beforehand and call at arrival so they can come down and lead you way in to the apartment.

MexicoThe gated community in which it is can be a little tricky to find/arrive and navigate inside but shouldn't be a major problem.
Really practical, whole flat for you so you can cook, have a fridge, wash clothes and have a "normal life" for a while (particularly great for a break during long trips). Location is really nice, some +10min walk from a quite important transport hub so we'll connected. Surrounding area is one of the poshest/more trendy in Beijing so many restaurant, breweries, bars, nightclubs. Staff is helpful and accommodating.

NetherlandsThe apartment could use a bit of maintenance. The shower hose comes straight from the ceiling where you're standing when you shower. That was a bit annoying and I had to figure out how to tuck it away. I was a bit put off by the message I received asking for a 10 score review and to mention issues in a private message.
When I travel (for business) in China I like to alternate between hotels and serviced apartments. The latter allow me to do some laundry and are often an inexpensive option if you don't care much about hotel breakfast buffets and go out to score your own Chinese food like I prefer to do. Beijing Elegant Seasons Park Apartment is renting out small and simple apartments in a typical Chinese 'xiao qu' (community). Public transport (bus and metro) are a 10 minute walk away. If you don't want anything fancy, this is a great option for your stay in Beijing. The staff was also very helpful.

NetherlandsI had issues with my Alipay app when me and my family finished eating. I could not pay in cash (for some reason). They did not understand a single word I was trying to communicate even with a translation app. I called the host in desperation, he spoke with the lady from the food place. He actually paid for me and my family!! Thank you so much for this. You'll never understand how much I appreciate it.

Singapore10mins walk to nearest metro station in the blistering summer, otherwise should be bearable in cooler climate. Streets can be dark but relatively safe neighbourhood. Just be aware of how to operate the front-load washing machine. The door was jammed on the first try and assistance was needed to drain fully before opening it successfully. Another time was the need to push the door shut properly to activate the wash.
Away from the bustle of the city. Having a convenience store below and a manager who provides his best of knowledge of surrounding restaurants, shopping areas, water quality etc. Local breakfast or McDonalds can be found whilst walking towards metro station.

ThailandVery good area, very good room! not far from Dongzhimen subway station quiet and safe 👍🏻 Room owner can speak english. Don’t worry about communication. Remind: If you arrived. You won’t be able to enter the building immediately. The gate need to open by a keycard so you have to call to a room owner for pickup you. More requests after booked please call to him it’s better than email. 🫶🏻❤️
