Amazing hotel - the courtyard is beautiful, well located and the staff are amazing. I arrived very late at night and was worried about accessing the hotel, but someone was there waiting to check me in.

Everything went perfect. I was travelling with 3 kids, everybody loved it. Room is really unique, the court yard is looking great. Staffs are really friendly , breakfast has a mix of western and traditional chinese. There are so many restaurant in walking distance for dinner. Such an easy / fun stay.

What a beautiful place. I've lived in the Hutongs before, but this hotel is a particularly well preserved courtyard. Staff was super friendly and went out of their way to help me. I hope to come back here soon!

Honestly, I cannot say anything bad, our 5 day stays was amazing.

The hotel was an amazing surprise right at the heart of Beijing. In the middle of Hutongs, however in a very quiet street. The staff was amazing, very friendly and helped us in the middle of the night to load credit on our mobile (vital here) The rooms were big enough and very traditional, something you want when you visit China. We ate dinner in the last evening at the hotel, and the food was delicious.

While some guests may find the beds a touch firm and the bathrooms showing signs of aging, it's important to note that this building boasts over 500 years of history. If your primary goal is to relish the historical and genuinely Chinese facets of your stay, these minor inconveniences are the price to pay. The breakfast room is a bit small, try to avoid peak hours in the early morning.

I chose this hotel with the intention of providing my family with an authentic Beijing Hutong experience, and it certainly delivered just that. The rooms were true to the images presented, and the hotel itself boasted not one, but two charming terraces and courtyards. Evening drinks on the terrace offered unique views of this historically rich and residential neighborhood, a true testament to Beijing's traditional architectural heritage. The entire hotel staff deserves commendation, as their service was exceptional. They were always available to attend to our needs, displaying remarkable politeness and friendliness. Special mention goes to Henry, Fan, and Alace for their outstanding contributions to our delightful stay.

This wasn't a negative for me personally because I like to get a real experience of the locals, but the hotel is located in an alley in a residential area. Always felt very safe and enjoyed walking around the area!

The staff made this such an incredible experience! They really went above and beyond, answering any and all questions I had about the city and getting accustomed to China. They really helped make me make the best use of my time in Beijing!

Very characteristic hotel, very amusing and cozy at the same time. The room as well as the bed were to the point. Breakfast was rich and good. The staff was super nice and available, especially a guy named Henry, speaking good English, who helped us in showing us the highlights of the cities and gave us support in general.

What to say except that this is an exceptionnal hotel ? Not just because of the nice room and architecutre, with the 200years old courtyard, but because of the staff. They weren't just helpfull. They were devoted to make your stay unforgettale. Their friendliness and patience made us feel like we were at home, with friends that wanted to make you discover their city and culture. They helped us with payment problems (as it is always a thing in China when you only have a Visa card), ticket booking issues (Wechat was difficult to use for us as it is not translated) and were interstes in what we've done in our stay, what gift we bought to our families. They even laughed at my very bad jokes ! Compares to the service of a French staff (i'm working in a 3 star hotel), it felt way more sincere and comforting. We'll never thank them enough for everything they did for us ! As our chinese was very poor, their very good english made us feel at ease to have chats with them ! I've been in Beijing 3 times in 3 different hotels. This one is by far the best i've been in.m and i'll never go anywhere else in ly future trips to Beijing. Thanks you again guys for everything.
