Cigarette smoke in the room and the lobby - some guests must smoke in the room. Room is not so clean and seems old (broken things and stains on walls). Definitely not the level expected and unfortunately damages the image of the French brand Campanile.

The hotel had great facilities and a range of breakfast options. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location was excellent, just around the corner from an underground train station with multiple line options.

Access is only possible via Wulumuqi Road. Street maps don't suggest this, and Google doesn't know this either.

Very well located chain hotel with a modern look for tourist purposes. Jing'an Park and Temple are within walking distance, as are subway stations and public rental bikes right outside the door. The set-back location means it is pleasantly quiet day and night. The rooms are practical and creatively designed. There are Western and Asian options for breakfast. The lobby also has a nice quality of stay.

The room is really run down compared to the pictures. It is in serious need of maintenance. But this is unfortunately a problem in China in general in hotels. And the light cigarette smell from the ventilation is true, if someone is very sensitive about this, I would recommend an other hotel.

Staff refused to provide an extra pillow - both times I asked! So we had to put up with one thin pillow each - not good enough for the price.

location very good, 5 mins walk to MRT and walking distance to Jiang An CBD. Room clean and cute with the Tatami setting - however might not suitable for the aged. Some details of room can be renovated. Overall, quite good value for money for its location in SH.

All facilities declared to be non-smoking, however once we entered the room, we could smell the smoke inside, which wore off by the time we came back from our walk. Seems there is an airlock in the water pipes, as the terrible sounds was coming out every other time we used the bathroom, I believe it’s a matter of time to get it fixed.

Great location nearby French district, Jing An Temple and subway, good bed, great breakfast and helpful staff.

Staff has almost no english skills. One of the emergency doors on 5th floor was locked, should not happen.

Great location at Wulumuqi Lu (became famous in November 2022 - google it). Nice and helpful staff. Rooms are interestingly designed with the bed on a pedestal. Good value.

Convenient location, walking distance to Jingan Temple and Jingan Temple subway station (interchange for line 2, 7 and 14. Very near Bus 71 station which brings you direct to The Bund. Abundant food choices, both high end Kerry Centre, The Reel Mall etc. and mid-range ones near Jingan Temple of Wulumuqi Road.

Took a long time to check in Need to have more breakfast variety I was supposed to enjoy upgrade from day 1 but didn't happen. Only happen when I extended my trip. Google did not lead me the way to the hotel. Will be great if info was given before the check in.

Facilities are quite old and worn out, some minor things can easily be amended like a broken tile, stained toilet roll holder. The toilet bowl is absurdly tall, and guys over 190cm tall still feel like dangling with feet in air.
