IT is a hostel after all... the bathroom floor was usually wet after people took showers.

The service was excellent. Lucy, one of the desk attendants, was very attentive. She took us to the market to buy ingredients for hot pot and taught us how to cook it. Location was also great, near Chunxi road station

A little disorganised (I booked with breakfast and they forgot to give me the coupons but then found out that breakfast won't be available) which hasn't happened in my trip in China so far but we got there in the end.

Great location, close to the centre and metro station. Also they run reasonable priced tours, recommend the city tour (with some food ) FYI, you pay for your food separately. Comfortable and clean room.

The only drawbacks I have are 1 lift to 5th floor that this hostel located .It is smelly at ground floor when waiting for the lift. The pillow is too soft for me.

This hotel contacted me via whatsapp informing there was staff mistake in overbooking causing all the room were fully booked for our reservation days. Hence, she offered us to stay in the company sister's hostel, Local Tea Hostel which is 900 m from this hostel. In fact, it is blessing in disguise as this Local Tea Hostel location is more strategic close to Xinnanmen metro with just 20m away which I appreciated. Besides, the room rate is cheaper in Local Tea Hostel than Flipflop Hostel Poshpacker. There are plenty of restaurants nearby including street food.The mattress is comfortable. We could even put our luggage in the luggage room when we checked out in the morning and return in the evening to collect them before heading to airport. The hostel is cozy. It is value for money.

The location was excellent. Near the Chunxi metro station, 5 minute walk. We had no problems using the metro from the airport, (notes need to be 20 or smaller). When you come of out exit E1, the instructions state cross the road. Cross the road towards all the signs and other activity (as it's a cross road there is another road that you could cross). Walk straight for around 3-4 minutes, short cut through a paved park where the locals play cards/table tennis, you will then see an orange fruit stall and the hostel door is right there. Look up to see a sign that says Flipflop hostel or Aloha cafe (top floor- nice coffee and bar). Cheyenne at reception really helped us, she helped buy tickets to the pandas as it was a weekend you need to pre buy. She helped us with a lot of things and was really amazing. She worked really hard helping all the tourists. We had a 4 bed bunk room for the 3 of us. Which was good because I could use an extra mattress on my bed as they are thin and you need 2. Some of the beds had 2 though. The sheets and doona are of very nice quality. As it was a dorm room, the cleaning ladies came each day and took the towels away, you then need to ask for new ones each day, this is how the dorm rooms work apparently. The environment is a really retro lovely fit out and lots of places to sit. Breakfast is 15 each morning which was decent and very much appreciated in a place where western food is near impossible to find. We did not find it noisy even though a bunch of review says it is and we had, in my opinion, the worst positioned room as well, opposite the main door. I would recommend this place to any traveller, it was great price, great location, and I have nothing but praise to say about this awesome hostel.

Breakfast could use more variety of foods. The towels were replaced every day even though I didn't request to change them. Only 1 big towel was provided so I had to request another towel everyday. The room may be a bit small (would be problematic for travelers with big luggages), but it had sufficient amenities.

The staff spoke English, which was helpful. Facilities were clean, Air-conditioning and WiFi is good. Location is excellent, near to metro entrance and lots of shopping and dining options. I would highly recommend this for solo travelers on a short stay. Very worth the price for its location and comfyness.

Guests were pretty noisy in the corridors, which made it rather loud in the rooms. But that totally depends on the room you have :)

Nice location. Large hotel. Personel was accommodating. If a couple, I recommand booking a 2 single bed room, and putting the beds together - the double bed bedroom is very small.

quite dirty, hot, and stuffy. AC is advertised but it was not on in my room, only in the lobby. the bed was essentially a thin mat on a plank of wood. the bathroom was gross. the wifi did not work whatsoever. however, is was super cheap so, i mean you get what you pay for

The bathroom of the men's dormitory always smelled quite bad and wasn't completely clean.

The staff were great! Very friendly and helpful. Especially Lucy, Allena and Kiki. I felt I could ask them anything and they are very kind.
