Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe Sound of the elevators when they Stop is a bit too loud and we could hear it every time in our room as it was nearby them. You had to wait a certain time to get an Elevator while breakfast rush-hour.to get one.
The location is nearby a Metro Station (Intersection Zhenru), which was great. The hotel offers a huge and tasty variety of Chinese and Continental food for Breakfast. The staff was always very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the pool was still unser construction, of what I was Not informed in advance. They appologized immediately.

BelgiumMy greatest disappointment was that the swimming pool was closed during my stay (it was supposed to reopen but then all of a sudden the opening date was postponed). This feature was crucial for me when booking my stay, so I was fairly dissapointed. Note for long term stay: according to the rules, your room is only cleaned twice per week, so you should take care of your room utilities such as water, soap, teabags, toilet paper etc. It also happened that those were not refilled even on the cleaning days, so sometimes I had to look for cleaning ladies and ask to pop up my stock. Adding a toilet brush to the utilities would also be a nice addition :) Also, the was constant odor in the bathroom which never went away but only became weaker when you keep flushing the toilet or using the sink.
I stayed in this hotel for one month, and I think this is a good value for money. Despite not in the heart of the city, the hotel has a great location - the nearby metro station is conveniently connected to most places in Shanghai, you'll get to most places in under 30 minutes. The room I had was fairly spacious and very clean (as were the rest of the hotel premises). The breakfast was very varied, with lots of great choices of food and drinks. There is another restaurant at the hotel serving Chinese dishes. The gym area was rather spacious and the yoga hall was simply amazing (though no group classes were organised during my stay). You'll find many some restaurants and cafes nearby (including Starbucks and another westernised coffeeshop just around the corner). There is a bank and a telecom office 1 minute away, so there is everything you need to set up your stay in Shanghai.

If you are looking for a lovely hotel, this is definitely the place to stay! The hotel is immaculate. -Just a 20 minute taxi journey to Shanghai centre to see the bund etc and only costs 55 Yen (£5.50 or $7) so very cheap! -There is a Starbucks and a 24/7 small grocery store literally next door to the hotel which was very convenient! -The rooms are beautiful and a perfect size in my opinion. They are very clean and modern. The bed is very comfortable. -All of the staff are so kind and welcoming! (Especially Yang, Wade and James) All staff spoke basic English which was amazing as not many people we met in Shanghai did! -The staff are happy to book you taxis at reception and they give you a small card which has the hotels address on to give to taxis on your way back- this was a great help and always worked fine! -The front of the hotel is beautiful too, there is always staff on the front to open your taxi door for you -taxis are cheap from hotel to local attractions. £25 (220 yen) to the wild animal park. £20 to Disney land (175 yen). The bund £6 (55 yen). Pudong airport £25 (220 yen). Hongqiao airport £6 (55 yen) We stayed in bejing and Shanghai on our trip to China, you really are not getting better value for money anywhere in Shanghai than this hotel, we were so happy and will definitely return! Thank you very much

New ZealandI did encounter an issue with the air-conditioning in my room. Unfortunately, it was quite hot, and I was unable to adjust the settings to a more comfortable temperature.
I was very impressed with the room. Its cleanliness and stylish decor made for a very comfortable stay. I also want to commend the staff for their exceptional service. They were incredibly helpful.

MalaysiaThere isn’t restaurant in the evening inside the hotel. After 9pm there is no one restaurant nearby that operates. But the hotel staff took us to a noodle stall nearby (only the locals know) for a simple meal. The room size is quite small. It can hardly fit two large suitcase.
The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and we were given two rooms opposite of each other. Robot was used to send us towels. We were amazed.

United KingdomEven though it was very close to the subway station, I could never find the hotel when coming back! Maybe it needs more signage to get to it easier.
The room was lovely and it had everything I needed. Plenty of USB connectors to charge my gadgets, a very nice view, and very comfortable.

United KingdomPlease change the fake plants in front of the hotel. I did not mind but it is good to know: - hot water takes a bit of time to reach higher floor - just keep the tap open -swimming pool is closed -cleaning of room isn't bad but can be improved -I think the size of bed/ mattress is short than the usual 190cm
It was a really good choice to book this hotel. Reached the hotel from the airport and it was really easy, Line 2 and changed to Line 11 (it is less walking than Line 14). Use exit 1 (use the escalator then right and right again when you see the Family Mart - if you walk through the empty mall you have to climb a spiral stairwell). It took about 1.5 hour Staff in the hotel are friendly and speak good English. My room was at the 29th floor, big enough, lots of storage space, one fridge, good bed/mattress, and faced the sunset. Had a full "hotel" laundry bag (wash & fold) for 39YEN Good size of gym

SingaporeI did not like the location, there werent many supermarkets or shops around. Walking/traveling anywhere was a bit of a hassle. I also did not like the fact that the cord for the water kettle was too short.
Loved the room service, and the regular cleaning. The rooms were new and and the staff were detail oriented. I also quite liked the decorations, it looks new and modern.

ThailandThe room is a bit small.
Everything is upto standard. It meets our expectation. The hotel is probably not located in the heart of Shanghai, but is only few minutes away by Metro. the nearest Metro station is ZhenRu (Exit 1). It's surrounded by Family Mart, Starbucks and Tim Hortons. However, my impression is the service. All staffs are freindly and helpful. They all are eager to provide us the very best service they could. One of our rooms had an air condition problem on the 3rd night. The staff quickly called a technical staff to check and change a room for us. They even waited in front of our room while we packed up and helped us to move the new room.
