The only thing I would suggest is giving the bird in the interior courtyard a bigger cage. Perhaps this suggestion highlights a cultural difference, as the bird's container appeared to be of the normal size for parrakeets one could find across cities. For potential guests--the bird is clearly well taken care of. They move it around each day, provide plenty of nourishment, and play with it. I just thought it might enjoy a bit more space to fly.

I apologize for the late review--hopefully, the gracious hosts will forgive my tardiness. For reference, I am a Texan who enjoys traveling. I am also younger than most of the people one might find backpacking around the world. People often divide the places they stay while traveling into hotels and hostels. This belongs in a third category that is generally populated by extremely expensive homestays. That's the kicker, though; it's very fairly priced and was, by far, the best place I stayed at in China. The family that owns it takes care of it well. The bunks are sturdy, private, and comfortable. The outlets work, there's excellent wifi, and the sheets are noticably clean. They offer breakfast and a wide array of coffee drinks. I received mine with a nice flower drawn in it, which showcased the attention to detail with which they handle their business. The rooms have Western-style showers, wonderful bidets (a rarity on my trip), and toilet paper and soaps. The lobby has a calming ambiance and usually has jazz, classical, or pop music playing. There's a very sweet, polite, and cute young woman who works the reception. Most of the staff speak enough English to understand questions about local attractions, and they were very willing to assist. They even worked me in for an extra night, though I hadn't pre-booked it. I felt spiritually similar to Alexander Rostov scaling the Metropol's never-ending staircase when I darted up the hostel's steps. The location is solid. The quality of this place reflects extremely positively on the breadth and depth of Chinese hospitality. It felt like a sanctuary.

This hostel is hands down the best hostel I have ever stayed in in my life. It just doesn't look and feel like a hostel, but a Japanese hotel. Everything and every detail is meticulously well thought. They provide great local snacks, drinks, water bottles, and a fantastic welcome pack with lots of toiletries, some flip flops and some house shoes. The common area is just beautiful and the breakfast is great. The staff is extremely friendly and everything is unbelievably clean - a great thank you to the cleaning staff too. I stayed in a 4-bed room and we had a toilet and shower to ourselves. The toilet was a modern toilet with water cleaning and temperature-controlled seat and the shower was great. I wish I could see more hostels of this kind in more cities. This hostel just kept surprising me with everything they offered.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hantang! The hotel is located in a quaint street in the heart of the city - it’s also close to subway lines which made getting around the city very convenient. We really enjoyed the breakfast options (a mix of eastern and western dishes), and also the happy hour drinks! The decor is also nicely considered - walking into the hotel at the end of every day felt like a sanctuary. But perhaps the most impressive thing about Hantang is the staff - all of whom were incredibly helpful. On the day we had decided to go to Huashang, one of the front-desk girls even helped us book the train tickets (which we definitely needed help doing!). So approachable, friendly and knowledgeable - we want to thank the staff of Hantang for making our trip to Xi’an a magical experience!

None, perfect stay!

Maybe the best hostel in which I've ever stayed (and I've stayed in so many).. Jaw dropping Japanese interior design, premium fixtures, lightning and appliances, it feels super luxury, cozy and boutique hotel stylish. Rooms are very modern and nice, toilet very premium and sparkling clean, beds are super comfy (really!), they give towel and many toiletries. Staff super friendly and helpful, free drinks and snacks, varied yummy breakfast also for free. Staff speaks English and already worried about your stay and how to make it even better. So many praising sounds like spam but I swear I was a normal traveller but can't embrace/praise this place enough. Do yourself a favour and stay, you can thank me later.

Such a beautiful, clean, comfortable with great vibe accommodation. Staff is amazing , warm, helpful and breakfast is delicious (and even gave me a glass of wine after a day of sightseeing)! Everything was amazing! Only little thing that could be improve is the door to the bathroom, for now it’s a sliding door and the gap between the wall and the door is pretty big so when someone is on the toilet we can see pretty much everything when we open the main door to enter the room. Otherwise everything else is honestly the best hostel I have ever been to.

recently had the pleasure of staying and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked through the door, I knew I had stumbled upon something special. The staff at the hostel especially Rachel are incredibly welcoming and friendly. They went out of their way to make me feel at home and were always ready to help with any questions or requests. Whether it was providing local recommendations, arranging activities, or just engaging in a friendly chat, their hospitality was outstanding. The atmosphere in this hostel is nothing short of magical. It's a place where travelers from all around the world come together, creating a diverse and lively community. Cleanliness is often a concern when staying in hostels, but I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms and common areas were spotless, and I appreciated the effort put into maintaining a hygienic environment. The beds were comfortable, and I had a good night's sleep every night. the breakfast is very delicious and they provide snack all day. In conclusion, the hostel exceeded my expectations in every way. The property is very well located nearby metro station. After you arrive the atmosphere is calm and relaxed. They offer you a lot of snacks and welcome drinks. The rooms are very very clean. The design of the place is very well thought through. The staff are kind, helpful and very cheerful.
