South AfricaThe reception staff did not know enough English to sort out problems. I contacted the property on the 23 rd to say that I was only going to arrive a day late as I had to re organise my trip due to Emerites floods. So I had to push back my first hotel 2 days( closer to the show) and only arrive one day later at the Hilton. So I checked in on the 25 th instead of the 24 th, but told them to keep the room for me and that I was happy to pay for it due late notice and it being out of my control. Everything went fine with check in, the room was in my name and I had supper and put it to my room and everything was correct. Then on the night of the 26 th. I put drinks and supper to my room again, only to be told that my room 1915, had been cancelled and it was in someone else’s name. Pure mayhem. The reception could not sort it out. I was worried about this new guest putting bills on my room and I was also leaving early to catch the train to Chou Zhou and only coming back late the following night. I was travelling on my own and was so worried that someone would arrive in my room in the middle of the night. My bill is a complete mess, I cannot make any sense of it. It’s not in my business’s name and it says I am from America, which my bookkeeper will not be able to sort out.
It was a comfortable hotel, with plenty of choices of restaurants.

IranRoom was too hot.I couldn’t sleep all night. I suppose the hotel air conditioner can’t supprt all the rooms in busy days and they turn it off around 3:00 AM. Reception couldn’t speak English. You have to wait a very long time for check in and check out.and staff were not enough to answer the guests. I asked for a bottle of water it took them around one hour. When I asked them the reason they said, they have sent with a robot. Which was calling by phone and speaking chinese. How could I imagine what was going on!?

SenegalI arrived in Guangzou for my first time and had no way of paying for a taxi. My cards were not accepted. Thanks to Mr Tony's help I was able to check in, he paid for the taxi and even gave me presents for my birthday. What was supposed to be a horrible day ended well because the hotel staff assisted me beyond what I could have expected. I will never forget it. Many thanks to Tony and all the staff at Hilton.

I was advised that upon check out the actual fee would be allocated and down payment refunded. Despite numerous chasing emails nothing has been refunded. Room is very spacious for a five-star hotel. Fabulous bathroom facilities including a bath tub. Lobby lounge have a live piano music during afternoon too. Very comfortable stay during my short trip to the city.

Malaysialocation is far from train station which is not family friendly. we had to call for taxi or any Didi car. dustbin should come with a bag to be exchanged everyday. One incident which mum was not able to go out with us for dinner as her leg was really sore. We called for room service to order dinner for her to be sent to room. we called to reception to order, i was told we had to go down to pick up at 2nd floor, or otherwise there would be 15% service charge to be sent to room. i told it was okay. later they called back to tell they could only send to room only if we ordered a bigger serving of CNY88 (original was CNY38) plus 15% service charged. of course we did not agree as only 1 person was eating. so we cancelled all. i decided to bring mum along for dinner by taking Didi car. later hotel called that the CNY38 dish was ready to be picked up. i was so stunt and said we had cancelled the order already. sigh... luckily they did not charge me for that when i checked out.
breakfast was good but i think the sushi was real bad. maybe they should remove this dish. i would suggest cleaner to clean all the cups rather than cover it with the used cups as it's already dirty and full of dust. don't think guests would want to drink it once back. Suggest to have a paper or plastic bag inside all the dustbin for better hygiene. Location wise, i feel it's not as near as it was stated. it would take at least 10-15mins walk to any of the train stations nearby. luckily there were some decent restaurants nearby.
