How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Location & room
Great location, only few minutes walk to Jiuzhaigou entrance. Room is spacious & clean, staff is very helpful & attentive.

Rooms could have been cleaner there were small stains on the linen, also the heater made the rooms extremely dry but that probably can’t be helped!
Just a short 5-7min walk from the entrance to Jiuzhaigou. Room was adequately warm and had everything we needed including a lovely hot shower for the cold winter. Front desk staff extremely helpful in packing a very sweet takeaway breakfast for us when we had to leave before 730am (which is their usual breakfast time) and also helped liaise with a driver to take us to the station. Lots of restaurants and convenience stores in the area even during offseason in winter.

Great location - it's a very short walk to the secenic area. no need to arrange tranport for that. Very clean and new room with a great view. Good breakfast considering the location is quite hard to get supplies up there. Jiuzhaigou is a great place to visit.

The airport is far away. You can’t have it both ways: it’s either close to the airport or close to the park. Close to the park allowed me to tour the scenic areas more than once easily.
The location was great: only 5 minutes leisurely walk from Jiuzhaigou scenic areas. the room was clean, housekeeping was provided daily, staffs were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was decent and provided early of the day so people could eat and be ready for the tour of the day. plenty of restaurants close by. I enjoyed my stay.

my room did not have a window facing outside. breakfast was from 7:30-9:30am which is very early for me when I’m on holiday.

The staff was very attentive. Organized the airport pick up, as requested. The room was very comfortable. The location is perfect. Just a 5 min walk from Jiuzhaigou park entrance. The breakfast was also quite good (toast bread, boiled/fried eggs, coffee, tea, vegetables, congee, rice noodles...).

At 7.30am, breakfast starting time is really not acceptable especially with 90% tray empty.. Need to wait and wait for food to be put onto tray. fry egg and cooked noodle also need to wait. serving staff is not friendly. with all guests need to start off early for visiting attraction especially Huanglong. 7.30 is too latw. we went out in the dark to grab our own breakfast at nearby eatery. no help offer to get taxi to bus station eveb after enquiry at counter.

First night we were given a room that smelled of damp, was dark with window facing out to a big rock wall, blocking any view or light. We complained to reception and the boys working there said they could move us to another dark dingy room that smelt worse. Following day, Totty the manager arrived and after speaking with him, he quickly moved us to a nice bright and airy room overlooking the valleys. We had breakfast included in room rate. Breakfast was the worst I’ve seen for international hotel like the holiday inn. Coffee but no milk? Bread but no butter or jam ? Noodles and hard boiled eggs. No choice really but advertise a buffet breakfast. I didn’t eat breakfast there any morning. Simple things like milk, butter, some scrambled eggs , cereal would make a difference to the breakfast menu. But suppose they are catering to the Chinese not foreigners ( so maybe it works for them) .
Positives were the location, short walk to the park. Also the manager named “Totty “ was very courteous and quick to rectify any issues we had. Nice guy.
