Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Great location, near Tianyi square (< 10 min walk). Nearby to night market. Plenty of good food around. Clean and big room. Good breakfast that will keep you full. Robot can help bring deliveries to your room. Staff are accommodating and allowed us to check out slightly later than schedule.

United StatesThis is the worst hotels in our trip in China (out of 4 hotels). The standard room is small and we paid extra to a larger room. However, we were locked out the room for 1 hour as they were not able to open it. The room was very smelly, and I had real bad allergy of it, so it is likely moldy smell. We asked to vacuum the room and sofa for us, and after that, it was better. The hallway was smelly too. The staff are quite cold, never greet the guests, worst than other Chinese chain hotels. I was surprised it was an Holiday Inn hotel. As usual, it is a non-smoking hotel but with some people smoking around. But at least if you asked ,the staff was trying to stop the smoker.
We asked for a very corner room , so at least no one smoking around us. But one of the room they offered us had smoking smell. The location is excellent, close to all the tourist attraction. They were many restaurants nearby.
