    The check in was shambolic! 1. Despite showing a booking confirmation the reception staff stated that there was no booking reference on their computer and demanded a different total to the final amount payable. They kept us waiting for more than 45 minutes while they argued with us at the front desk in front of other guests. They did not call the General Manager as I requested. I eventually secured a key for the room booked for our guest but they withheld our room key although I explained that my wife was unwell following an 11 hour car journey. 2 They demanded a deposit which I refused suggesting that I would pay the total room rate as shown on the confirmation slip. This caused further problems as they clearly were incapable of operating the card machine and I became concerned that the several attempts they had made might compromise my card. I asked again for the GM to be called to resolve the situation , but was surprised that after going behind reception I was given the phone when I stated that I required the person to come out and speak to me. This was actually impossible as it turned out that I was speaking to Customer services from Booking. com. Fortunately the gentleman was hugely helpful and he offered to sort the issue out. We agreed that I would pay the account the following morning as it was now late at night and I finally received the second room key and retired for the night. 3 Having finally got to bed I was somewhat enraged when there was persistent knocking on the room door and the same boy from reception was once again insisting that payment be made which I firmly refused, confirming that payment would follow in the morning as discussed with customer services. 4 The General Manager finally appeared in the morning ,although he offered an apology continued to try to insist that his staff were correct which further inflamed the situation. It was finally resolved when I paid the stated final amount from the confirmation slip.

    Usually the brand. We have used Hyatt Hotels in a variety of locations over a number of years, more recently in Dubai on a number of occasions for business and pleasure purposes..
