My stay at the Intercontinental Hotel in Kunming was absolutely exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by the attentive staff. The hotel's elegant and modern design immediately impressed me, setting the tone for a luxurious experience. The room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and offered stunning views of the city. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The hotel's dining options were outstanding. I indulged in delicious meals at the on-site restaurants. The attentive service and elegant ambiance made each dining experience truly memorable. Overall, my stay at the Intercontinental Hotel in Kunming exceeded all expectations. From the luxurious accommodations to the outstanding service, every aspect of my experience was nothing short of five stars. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kunming.

The location is too far from any convenience. The hotel is also too large! Felt rather cold.

One staff at the pool did shout at us, because I did take my small daughter in the male locker. But she was too small to be alone in the female locker. A single comment would be enough. No need to shout. The room was smaller (65 sqm) than in the booking.com website (80 sqm) stated. But they did give us extras as compensation for the smaller room what was in the end acceptable.

Very nice location. Very clean. Staff was very nice, except at the pool. But all other people were very lovely. The pool was really large. The hotel is really huge and impressive. Food was excellent.

Very nice place, super clean, the breakfast was good, big rooms & were very quiet. And all my charging cables were well organised every day!!! This only happened when I visited Japan, I was impressed.

Amazing breakfast with a large selection of foods. I got a corner room overlooking the lake and mountains on one side and the city on the other, beautiful view. Totally worth it.

Could maybe use a bit more instruction on how to fill the hot spring pool efficiently but honestly we were very happy with everything.

We were lucky enough to be upgraded to one of the suites with a private hot spring pool and it was wonderful! So nice to be able to come back after a day of sightseeing and just soak away. Staff thought the hotel couldn’t have been more helpful and courteous. Club lounge is lovely and well appointed. Location is peaceful - maybe not ideal if you’re looking to be in the city centre but if you’re after something more resort-like, this is a great option.

Amazing hotel. Breakfast and dinner buffets were fabulous, especially dinner. Staff couldn't be friendlier. We got an upgrade after joining IHG. Didn't get the same on second one-night stay but room was still great. Beautiful grounds with amazing tropical garden, pool pretty good and sauna too. Stayed in the more expensive Hilton at Yuxian lake afterwards and, while the hotel was great, the service wasn't even close.

We contacted the hotel before arriving to ask about Covid tests (coming from a different region) and early check-in. The hotel responded 2 days after we left.

The staff was helpful and attentive. We do not stay in chain hotels very often and this place was great. The pool was nice for our child to swim and splash. The price was good for what we got. The restaurant buffet was awesome! Great food and a stellar price. We had a birthday in the family and the hotel gave us a cake. No complaints. Would stay again if we return to Kunming central.
