Great looking authentic Naxi style house, yet room is very large, modern and comfortable. Top location a few minutes walk away from Shuhe old town. Hosts are a model of helpfulness, and genuinely nice people. Do yourself a favor and spend a couple nights with Johnson and Carol. Bonus: cute kid and dog to play with :)

None But just in case give someone useful info: for people with walking difficulty will find slightly hard to walk to this property after taxi drop off at the gate of the town. But the owner will always try to help to pick you up with his scooter 🫶

The nicest place I have been in China. The family is just adorable. You will feel like home. If you want to meet Chinese locals that is THE place to go. They will be happy to help, answer your questions and do their best to provide you with your needs. They speak perfect English. The room is huge and comfortable. The bed is very comfortable, shower hot, and the location can't be better. Downtown, no cars around, but shops/ cafe/food at a walking distance. Don't miss it!

It is very homely. Both Johnson and Carol were very kind and helpful. Their son Jayden is a bundle of joy who took me around town. Carol help us in getting the Didi car to Qiaotou. My bag was left in a taxi and she help me to contact the driver to get back my bag. Definitely worth staying here.

A beautiful house in a lovely area with great hosts who are eager to show you the best of Lijiang. I wish I could have stayed longer to try all the wonderful activities available. The room was spacious and comfortable.

The hosts Carol and Johnson were extremely accommodating with our late check-in, going out of their way to help. They were also extremely helpful in our questions about local customs and requirements providing us with very helpful information. The room we stayed in was beautiful and very comfortable. If you wanna feel quiet and peaceful ancient in Lijiang, Johnson's home is a good choice. - Kind and supportive owner, Johnson helped us to carry our luggage way in and out to the road. Showed us some attractive places to visit, and support in reserving a ticket for the Legend of Romance show - Experienced in Naxi house, unique and style architecture design.

Johnson was a very considerate host and made us all feel very comfortable during our stay. Our children loved being with his pet dog and we all enjoyed walking and hiking together (including the dog who came along too). The old town was very close by and had some very comfortable coffee shops and local foods. The attractions in the main city were very enjoyable and our host Johnson offered to take us there in his car at no cost :) We enjoyed a few days hike in the mountains and were guided to the less crowded areas that suited our stay. Thank you Johnson, we really enjoyed our time with you.

We have been cared very well during our stay and it was a great bonus that they could speak both English and Chinese fluently. The breakfast was delicious, the tea was fantastic, hiking was AMAZING(the boys loved it!), even the yoga experience was memorable. The over 100 years old lodge, fit in well in the old town. Everything was so perfect that we don't want to travel any more. We have discussed a return trip to the hotel before we left. Thanks again Johnson and Carol for your hospitality and we had great time there. Xx

We really enjoyed our stay at Jayden Lodge Homestay. Johnson and Carole were so welcoming and friendly, we felt like home at their place. It was really appreciable to speak English with them, they are also really happy to share and to help. The bedroom was really big and bright, and it was greatly atypical to stay in an old naxi house. Everything was perfect, we highly recommend!

The hosts, Carol and Johnson are amazing, they made us feel like home and took care of us as if we were their old friends. Johnson took us for a hike to the nearest mountain, they explained us all about the area, coocked us tasty breakfast. We also enjoyed the opportunity to share dinner with them and try the food they usually have. They have a very pretty terrace with the view of the Shuhe town, a young very active dog, which has become friends with my kids. We got presents when we left, we will always have a pleasant memory of our stay here!

I stayed here for 4 nights. The owners were very hospitable and welcoming. They offered free breakfast and dinner everyday of my stay. In the morning I was able to eat breakfast on the roof and enjoy the beautiful views over ShuHe. They were very helpful in giving me information about the local areas so I could plan some hikes and activities. I was taken on a hike close to the homestay by Johnson and Carol. Johnson taught me more about the history of ShuHe and Carol did some guided meditation with me during the hike. I chose to stay an additional night and was given a discount for what was already a generously priced stay. I'm grateful for my stay here and would recommend it to others wanting to enjoy some beautiful views and hospitality from kind owners.

Depends on your perspective, but I hope you are comfortable with your partner- there is no bathroom door, only a screen.

The best thing is the hosts- Johnson took us to places and gave us advice to see small places we would never have seen. Carol offers yoga and meditation. Ayi cooked very good food and we ate with the family often, including trying local teas, alcohol, vegetables and mushroom. Room was very nice- similar to the pictures, in a unique, local sytle. Value for money was top notch.

I wish the common area was a bit more comfortable for lounging.

Innkeepers were so friendly here! We were warmly welcomed at check-in and given recommendations for where to eat or have coffee. Free yoga class was generously extended from 30 to 90 minutes and followed by a delicious simple breakfast. He even took us up into the hills for a short hike and view of the city. Great value here as a jumping off point for the region!

The homestay is in a great location and Johnson and Carol go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Rooms are clean and big, they make excellent food and it’s a great place to base yourself for exploring Shuhe and Lijiang. Would highly recommend!

Carol is just a treasure of this place, so much kindness and love in everything she is doing. The breakfast is incredibly delicious, made with love. Don't miss handmade yogurt and the bread! And kundalini yoga! It is another level of consciousness and being. I loved it! Thank you for taking care of me <3 Also I appreciate the pick-up from the train station, it was generous!
