Accommodating staff is definitely the best Everyone was so friendly and the atmosphere was really relaxed. They've taken "feel at home" to the next level. The property itself is right beside the lake so you can have coffee on the dock and enjoy the early morning sun should you fancy. If you're looking for peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place to be.

I loved the lakeside location and how relaxing it was. The staff was so helpful and kind! They had lovely suggestions for hikes and made sure I had a good time. The food is also delicious. Would definitely come back!

I like sleeping with a lot of pillows and the bed only had one. Pretty sure I could have asked for an extra one but I ended up being so comfortable anyway I didn’t feel the need to do so

The property was really nice. My bathroom was massive! The water temperature and pressure made for one of the best showers of my life. The view from our room was spectacular with a floor to ceiling window. The room has central AC so we slept very comfortably despite the heat outside. The food was very local and delicious. If you want to have dinner just let Jason know what you want so he can buy the ingredients and prepare ahead of time. Jason, who runs the place, was incredible. I’ve never had such great service before. He answered all of our questions and made sure we had a wonderful stay. The property is pretty close to most touristy spots. We had a car rental but there were cars around when we checked DiDi. The property is lakeside and we were able to kayak and go for a nice swim to cool down from the heat.

Exceptional ! Don't know where to start. Jason, the owner is the best host ever. The rooms are comfy and spacious. The breakfast and dinner are super! We have an one year old and Jason made him breakfast too. We would highly recommend this resort. We really enjoyed every moment. From BBQ to exploring.

In only 2 nights and 3 days, we must have had 10-15 bugs/flying insects in our room that we caught and released out of the window, even though we never had any windows opened any other time. It was very hard to find the hotel. We had to call when we arrived for someone to come show us to the hotel as it’s location isn’t perfect and hard to find. Breakfast was disappointing. Just a few cold vegetables, steamed buns and boiled eggs.

The room was very spacious. Decent size bed looking over the lake. Large bathroom with the biggest shower I’ve ever seen. The staff are extremely friendly and always want to help and do more to make our stay more enjoyable. Location is good. Lots of peace and quiet and not too far away from the main tourist attractions in the area. We had dinner one night and it was good, however the breakfast was very average with not much choice. Vegetables and steamed buns only.

Away from the noise and bustle but close enough to get into town. On a small lake, kayaks available. So quiet and peaceful. Beautiful scenery. Comfortable facilities with amazingly warm, friendly and helpful staff.

I have been living and traveling in China for 6 years and this is by far the best hotel stay service I have encountered. The staff were kind, attentive and very helpful. The food was delicious, the view from the balcony is incredible and the rooms were super clean. Highly recommend it to anyone who is planning a trip to Qiandao lake!

I loved that this place felt out of the way in what could be a reasonably touristy area. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, offering to arrange activities, booking taxis, and taking care of us. The place has a nice cozy feel, wooden decor, lovely views from the terrace and balcony rooms at the top, though no elevator so be prepared to climb! Food is excellent. There is free kayaking available from right at the hotel which is great fun. Tricky to get other places without a car - will bring my bike next time - and can go for walks but along the roads, no trails. Perfect for a couple day quiet retreat.

Best experience in a hotel so far in China. I’ve been all around the country during my 5 years here and this was exceptional. The staff are so nice, they upgraded us to a better room on arrival since we arrived there on a day that wasn’t busy. They brought us a nice free fruit platter on our first evening there and on our departure day, we didn’t wake up on time to get breakfast so they packed us a little breakfast to go. The room we got was so pretty and extremely clean, much better than most hotels around this price. The view is amazing and my favorite point, we have access to kayaks, free of charge and free of limits. pure freedom. I’m definitely going back there. -From my boyfriend

Very minor suggestions would be to offer bicycles to ride to the nearby restaurants. The guest room doors were squeaky which made it hard to slip out in the early morning without disturbing my friend and easy to hear others come in and out.

The Inn sits on the lake in a quiet and picturesque spot surrounded by lush hillside. The room was large with cold AC and the view was lovely. A large deck and dining room offer lake views for dining or just hanging out. It is serene and off the beaten path but just a quick taxi ride or short walk to several local markets and restaurants. The Chinese breakfast at the hotel was delicious and dinner is available to order - the owner/operator buys the ingredients daily! I didn't eat dinner there but it looked/smelled great. Jason, the owner/operator, is extremely friendly and accommodating. He saw to our every need - helping us to book a boat tour, order taxis, shop at the local market and even use the kitchen. There are kayaks to use, too. All the staff were very friendly. I would stay here again without hesitation!

It's possible some guests hoping for high luxury might be a bit disappointed with the facilities- the building does feel a bit rustic, and the room's bathroom was a bit basic. But it fits with the natural setting and is more than acceptable for the very fair price. We were very comfortable throughout our stay, and the room's view and the host's amazing service were so high, it is very difficult to find those things even at much more "luxury" hotels.

Amazing host, from the moment we arrived answered all of our questions and accommodated every request perfectly and with such a positive attitude, set a wonderful atmosphere for a relaxing weekend. The free kayaks tied up out back were another key highlight. Even though the inlet the hotel is located on can be explored in just an hour or two, we still got a lot of extra enjoyment afterwards just laying back and watching the sun set behind the mountains. The host discouraged us from going out on the main lake due to the risk of jet skis and motorboats, but it is possible to reach for a quick peek.

We were very satisfied with the hospitality of the owner - he was extremely friendly and helpful. He helped us to book tickets for various activities (hot air balloon, paragliding, VR stuff). As we don't speak Chinese, he helped us to order dinner via the app. Late check-out was allowed. The breakfast was amazing. The view was stunning. Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere if you want to escape from busy life in the city.

Nothing not to like. Just be mindful that for rooms at the top floors (6) some stamina is necessary as there is no elevator.

The hotel is relatively small and located 30 minutes of walk from the town at a small, quiet lake. This gives unique privacy and pleasant isolation while being close to some restaurants and The Beertown with brewery, bars and other attractions (e.g. carts). The owner is extremely hospitable and helpful in providing tips and suggestions for activities. He serves good, home-made-feeling food and can accommodate the needs of vegetarians. Kayaks are for free. Room is spacious and clean.
