It was absolutely the best experience I had during my whole travels so far. The couple who owns the place is absolutely amazing. They really care about the wellbeing of their guests. They prepared their own very useful guide book in Chinese and English. Everyday they bake home made bread and baguettes so the guests have something to eat. And the most importantly, they are really friendly. 11/10.

The hostel can be difficult to find, but if you follow the instructions sent by them you won't face too many problems.

The staff is kind and everything was clean. The rooftop adds value to the place :) The location is perfect. The room has lockers that can be locked with your room key.

The divisions between the upper bunks could be taller, so that one bunk isn’t affected by the other bunkmate turning on their bunk light

The entire staff there is incredibly helpful, kind and friendly. The place is just like the photos. The internet connection is very good and all the common areas are clean all the time. The staff speaks very good English and they even give you a tour for the facilities so that you know where things are. I totally recommend this place and I'll definitely go back next time!

This hostel exceeded my expectations. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and the shower really clean. Other travelers had a cool vibe and I enjoyed time with them. The location is perfect and a BIG surprise: the rooftop is amazing with a great view over Chongqing !

The assistant at the check-out counter when I was leaving, didn't understand the importance and urgency of me leaving and he made me go back upstairs to remove the sheets even though my driver was already downstairs. This ultimately made me late to the train station. This may be because he doesn't understand English well but it was quite frustrating trying to communicate with him early in the morning while in a rush.

Friendly staff and informative - Will, the owner of the establishment was very kind, friendly and accomodating. He showed me all over the hostel once I was checked in and even comprised a book of places to eat, things to do and where to go during your stay. The map was very helpful too. He even met me at the traffic light close to the hostel and showed me the way when I first arrived. A free coffee was given after you check-in, you had a choice of am Americans or a Hot Chocolate made to your liking from their coffee shop downstairs. Luggage can be stored there long after you've checked out too! Hot water stopped working for a few hours and Will dealt with and rectified the problem quickly while apologizing. This is a great place to stay if you're going to Chongqing on a budget or if you want to meet very cool, interesting and kind people. I made friends with 3 of the women from my room which has never happened before at any of my other hostel stays. I will definitely return for a stay at Only Cafe if I ever visit Chongqing again. This is a great place to stay!

Such a perfect stay! Such warm and friendly owners, I love them! Laozhang had so much knowledge about the city and the culture to share, and is very thoughtful: he even did a map and a little Chongqing guide himself! I loved the common areas, spacious and well equipped (even has a massage chair hahaha). The whole hostel was clean and well maintained. Love that we could also have a daily free (delicious) milk tea at their coffee shop downstairs, where we had great talks with jiejie and were served by the adorable barista! Location is also fantastic, right in the heart of Chongqing!

The location is very central, few minutes walk from Jiefangbei. The hostel itself is on 31st Floor, and need to take a lift to access. The staffs are very helpful. Checkin and check out process is smooth.

The rooms are a bit small and the lockers good be a bit bigger, but thats not a big deal.

The place is very clean and tidy, the location is also centrally located and hence very convenient. The staff is also helpful and nice, the manage and maintain the place very well which I really appreciate. Finally being on the top floor of the 31 floor building with a rooftop terrace makes this hostel very unique.
