There are two buildings and some rooms are overlooking a pond some are overlooking the sea but the balconies are covered with unremovable iron bars, sort of shadow blinds, however it is almost completely hide the view.

The hotel is located about 5-7 min walk from the beach. Breakfast is served 7 to 11 am with variety of dishes, most of which are Chinese cuisine, though you can always get something conventional, eggs, rice, mils, cereal etc. Personnel is friendly and helpful. Rooms are cleaned every day. Rooms are spacious and nice, very comfortable. front dest is helpful, though if you speak some chinese it always helps to get what you need.

Location is a bit off (about 2km) from the Yalong Bay main shopping strip. Poor hotel management, front desk staff knows little English. I booked a room for 3 adults which includes breakfast. I was only given 2 vouchers per day. The hotel insisted my room did not include breakfast and the vouchers were only given to me because I am an IHG member, despite I showed them my booking detail. Very frustrating experience!

Open plan ocean view suites have stunning views and can comfortably accommodate for 3 adults. Free mini bar and bottled water filled up everyday. Doorman staff was attentive

Although a kitchen and stove was provided in the room, it would have been nice if a pan was provided as we were unable to use the stove for this reason. There was also no microwave. The location is very close to Yalong beach but one hour away from the airport.

It has a very nice view of the lake, beach and mountains. Breakfast was very good and had a wide variety of options. Room facilities exceeded expectations and was very nice and spacious. Free shuttle services to and from the beach are provided and free self-laundry services were also available. The pool had an amazing view. The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful. They also spoke English.

- The cleaning staff were inconsistent and tended to take things away that were used once, like the toothbrush, slippers, bathrobe, towels, etc. Maybe some people want this but we found it wasteful and unnecessary to have to get a new toothbrush or slippers again every day. They also left the balcony doors open a bit one day and it was too hot when we came back. - The balconies have a feature where the air con turns off once you open the door, which is great for the environment but sometimes it didn't pop back on right away if you don't shut the door tight. They also don't air condition the lobby. - The pool was small and we never used it - we would go to the beach or other places instead. We also never ate at the restaurant but it seemed all right. We have been to Sanya many times and Yalong Bay a couple times and this area is a bit out of the way, but it's still a quick Didi to other big hotels, La Floret, the Tropical Paradise Forest Park, etc. - We had an issue one night with getting food delivery where the driver gave us the wrong order and mixed it up with someone else in the hotel. We tried to sort it out but in the end it was a struggle and we just ate the food they gave us. The other customer was clearly unhappy and complained though and tried to find their right food, and we ended up getting called twice by the staff, knocked on the door, etc about an hour after delivery from 11-11:30 pm at night. I have never been bothered so late by a hotel and felt this was not appropriate over a small delivery mixup. - In general the staff were helpful but didn't speak English well except for Peter as above who helped us out.

Overall this was quite a nice stay. :) The room we initially booked advertised a bathtub though, on both Booking and Trip.com, and looked much bigger than it actually was. The pictures showed views of the bay and a bigger bathroom and were clearly not advertised for the right room. When we got there the bathroom was small with no tub, the air conditioning wasn't on and the thermostat said it was 33 degrees C in the room, and it was a view of the road. We complained and one staff member, I believe his name was Peter, spoke English well and upgraded us to an apartment style family room that was very large. It had a kitchenette, living space, balcony with view, nice bathroom with tub, and 2 separate bedrooms. We stayed for 6 nights so we appreciated this! The air con was great, the beds were comfortable, it had a nice couch, 2 TV's, etc. I would recommend going the next level up like this or asking for upgrades. They also had a nice gym and a store in the property. This was a livable place if you wanted to stay in for a while from the heat. It is a clean and new hotel.

We arrive right before those groups. They came in and start pushing and cutting line. At that moment I’m already checking in, the hotel staff didn’t finish with me before helping the people of the group to check in, he was multitasking, which isn’t very professional, also it was a chaos, not organized at all. There’s three desks, why not let those of the groups go to one or two of them, instead of letting them roam around and terrorizing the place. The hotel should pay more attention to this, our experience is aweful because of this.

The dining room staff lack good people skills - they accused me of not paying upfront for breakfast, two Chinese staff came and stood over me while I was trying to eat my food, pestering me about the payment to the point it became unbearable and I left the dining room- it was extremely embarrassing.

The cleaning staff were excellent, very attentive to detail, nice and polite. The front desk people were helpful and assisted me very well, the staff on the lounge floor were well mannered and helpful as well.
