Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

The hotel is in an excellent location, close to major attractions and convenient to the airport. The room is spacious, with an interesting design. But the design is somewhat strange. There is not enough lighting in the room. It was still not possible to connect to the Internet.

New ZealandLocated in an area with lots of food and other stores within very short walk. Found Starbucks 3 doors away from the hotel entrance. Also a nice little bar with a narrow outside terrace on floor 3. Rooftop terrace is very good. Can see Shanghai Tower and other big financial district buildings from it. 10 minute walk to The Bund and waterfront and a further 1.2 kilometers along The Bund to the tourist tunnel under the river to the Pudong side. Walk back with the beautifully lit Bund was well worth doing.

United KingdomIt was annoying that the TV was set up to turn on whenever you walk in the room. I don't understand why you'd design it like that?
The room was nice and the shower was good. Great location. The man on reception was very helpful lookinh up an address for us and giving us directions. Note that this is actually a huge hotel so it can be quite a walk from the lift to your room.

Czech RepublicOnly bad thing on the hotel is it's not soundproof at all. I mean you don't hear traffic or people on the street but you can hear everything your neighbours do. But it didn't bother me I'm not that picky. On the other hand that drilling from workers was worse. But I know hotel staff can't do anything about it and things must be built.
Best thing is placement. It literally cannot be placed any better. You just step out and buy whatever you need and do whatever you want. It's close to most famous places. Also metro is like 150m away. Staff is nice and accomodations comfy. Overall 9/10.

AustriaOne day before my departure the furniture in the room was changed without prior informing me. I did not consider this correct. The floors in the entire room were dangerous because when wet they became very slippery. I slipped and nearly hurt myself badly.
I liked the location and the room. Staff was very friendly but hardly speaks English. Fortunately this can be overcome by using translation with iPhone. The picture on the advertisement does not show the hotel but a building nearby.

ItalyGreat location to visit the old city and Yuyuan Garden (the hotel is within the old city gates, 2 minutes walking distance from the garden entrance). Spacious room, clean, with all amenities (hair dryer, towels, toiletries etc... The entrance of the hotel is a bit tricky to find, located on the side of the main road, however once you locate Starbucks it's easy to find.

Hong KongThere was no natural light in the room even though I’d upgraded to a ‘superior double’. Walking past in the morning I noticed there were other rooms with natural light so maybe I was just unlucky but it made me feel like the property was not very good value for money. Staff were nice but no one there when I arrived.
Good locations near the Bund and old Chinatown. Bed was comfortable and shower and toiler facilities clean.

CanadaWhen we used the AC it smells very strongly of smoke (my partner and I are non-smokers) which was tolerable but the in last few days it also smelled of urine. We completely turned off the AC since the smell bothered us a lot.

SingaporeSound proofing was bad and kids were screaming early in the morning. The housekeeper also opening our door while we were still sleeping... and apologized as she thought we check out.... After that the reception called us while we weretrying to get back to sleep and asked if we had checked out... clearly someone didn't do their recording properly...
Thicc memory foam head pillow. And heavy thicc pillow for you to hug which was amazing.
