Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mia hotel. The lobby especially is very stylish and the room we booked was bigger than expected and very comfortable to stay in (smallest one). Danni was very kind and helpful! She also gave us a room that had a beautiful view while still being quiet. The location of the hotel is great, there is plenty of small shops, cafes, food spots to browse and it’s within 10-15 minutes walking distance to two metro stations with great connections which will take you to wherever you need to go. We hope to come back, thank you especially to Danni for the hospitality :)

Mia hotel is a great place to stay in Shanghai. The staff were so friendly and attentive, especially Danni on the front desk. Rooms were very clean and modern. Location in the French concession was so close to everything.

Fantastic location and wonderful management team. I checked in late and Danni was so efficient and put me right at ease after a long trip. She immediately explained the surroundings for my breakfast options and my coffee stops! In the next few days, Danni continue to check in with me on my comments of my room. It was the best penthouse hotel room I have enjoyed in Shanghai! Very much feeling it was my own home away from home, a rare jewel when one travels!

Room: The studio was nice, but not all studios are the same. Some have bathtubs and some don’t. Not consistent for the same type of room you pay for. Smaller rooms are really very tiny. The premium queen rooms are quite claustrophobic and there's hardly any space to walk. Cleaning: Daily room cleaning is a bit inconsistent. One day, our face and hand towels disappeared and we’re not replaced. Only the bath towels were replaced. Amenities were not replenished unless requested. Bathroom amenities for the smaller rooms are not the same as the studio. Service: We requested for early check in as we were arriving early in the morning. We were happy to get 2 of the small rooms first. And were told to come back for the remaining rooms at the official check in time at 2pm. We came back, but were only given 2 more rooms at 2. Our last 2 rooms (out of 6) were not given to us till 4.30pm. Reason given was that the previous guest had not checked out yet. Just so you know, their check out time is 12pm. Almost one whole day wasted waiting for rooms. This was really bad experience and the hotel initially refused to compensate us anything for the late check in. But we insisted and finally got a small refund. (About 6.5% if one night’s charge). On the last day, some of my family went out for breakfast and came back at 1130 to get their luggage to check out, but they were locked out of their rooms. They were slow to let us check in, but so fast to make us check out. This was quite unpleasant. During some shifts, there are no staff who can speak English. So it makes it quite challenging to communicate. Others: Not possible to telephone between rooms. We were separated on different floors and couldn’t go to each other’s rooms coz our cards only gave access to our own floor.

New and modern designed rooms. Clean room and bathrooms. Heated toilet seats. Loved the Dyson hairdryers and the Acqua Di Parma amenities. Somewhat walking distance to metro. It's almost 1km away, but in nice weather, it's ok, not so much in the rain. Located in a nice calm picturesque area in the French Concession. Bed is nice and comfortable. The studio rooms are bright with full length windows one 2 walls and the size is that of a standard hotel room. Bar fridge contents are complimentary on the first day. Room service is sent to you by a robot. Some of the staff during some shifts were really very helpful and went out of their way to help us book restaurants and call for a Didi.

The hotel had no dining/no breakfast but was within walking distance to shops etc. It took us only about 20 min walk from Mia Hotel to Tian Zi Fang but got lost upon return since Google Map has the wrong location of the hotel. Also there was no website and I could not find the hotel's Chinese name to tell driver's where to go.

The 2 rooms I booked were comfortable and spacious. I got the 2 rooms across from each other which was very convenient. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. We went out for lunch but got lost on the way back so returned after our check-out time but the staff were patient and helped us call a taxi to take us to the airport. The reception was small but offered some water and paper cups.

The room we selected was quite compact so it was a little crowded for our two large suitcases, so may try their larger rooms next time.

Great location. It is within walking distance to Huaihai Road and 3 metro stations. Clean and quiet room with necessary amenities available. We appreciated the well air conditioned space too, given the chilly evenings. Friendly and helpful staff. The receptionist was very patient when we checked in at 2am and taking quite awhile to figure out the payment app. Thanks to Hotel Manager Ms Yan Li for a fuss free check out and for promptly notifying us of an item we accidentally left behind.

We had an issue with the payment for the taxi at the airport. The hotel staff, in particular DNY, was so kind to pay in advance the taxi for us and so we managed to catch the flight on time.

The room is lacking a closet or a shelf. Also a small little desk or chair would have been nice, to make you feel more at home. Extra bowls, cutlery and bedside table were things I missed. A coffee bar or cute little restaurant would be a great addition to the hotel. As you currently could only sit in the lobby where there is not much and cold.

Lovely bed and good hot shower. The rooms are well organised. From the hotel you can easily walk into the former French concession. Especially the staff was wonderful. As someone who does not speak mandarin the staff was incredibly patient and helpful. This made me feel welcome and safe.

Nothing at all, this is the best hotel I’ve stayed in

The staff were exceptional, especially Dani who went above and beyond to help us with every aspect of our stay. The decor and design of the hotel is modern/minimal and really beautiful and relaxing. The beds are extremely comfortable and rooms have all mod cons. Robot delivers room service. Location is also great! Will definitely stay again

There was no breakfasts in a hotel. Also the restaurant on the 1nd floor wasn’t working. Also I used a translator sometimes to talk with stuff but it is a usual thing in China.

New hotel, clean number, each cleaning made our room like it looked the first time. Good stuff, very kind. Amazing view from the windows. Nice restaurant near the hotel.

Everything was nice. Over my expectations, very comfortable and stylish room, super comfy bed. Hotel looks new. Location is 10/10. Many restaurants, coffeehouses nearby. The room might be a bit too small for two, but for solo traveling just perfect.
