Xiao ye and his team were extremely helpful and went out their way to make our experience a comfortable one. He even accompanied us to a nearby restaurant and ordered for us when we didn’t have any cash or know any mandarin The staff at breakfast time were also very lovely and helpful.

Nothing at all!

We loved our stay at the Moonlo Hotel, and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. We will be recommending to friends and family. The hotel facilities and level of service was impeccable, the hotel was pet friendly and we only wish we had more time to experience everything, like the tea ceremony, and the free drinks. Our room was cozy and furnished to a very high standard. The personal touch from the owner Mrs Yang made us feel special during our stay. The breakfast had abundant choices and was exceptionally prepared by Auntie Lu, while the airport transfer service was hassle free, well organised and Driver Li was very friendly.

We couldn’t sleep all night long because there was noise of people running, screaming down the hall and doors shutting very loudly with alarms ringing. Very uncivilized behaviour of guests close to our room. It would have been nice to have had staff intervention.

I booked a room to rest for the night during a layover, but when I arrived at the hotel I realized that I forgot my passport at the airport. Xiaoye, the guy at the reception, totally saved the situation: he called the airport lost&found office (they only speak Chinese), took me back to the airport with his own personal car, escorted me to the office, talked with the officers and took me back to the hotel. I can’t thank him enough.

The room was spacious and bed was huge & comfy. The little garden was a nice surprise! Breakfast was lovely, a lot of veg and fruit as well as meat options to choose from. It’s very close to PuDong airport which is a bonus.

Nothing we didn't like.

We noticed all the staff had a genuine desire to help make our stay great. It never felt like they were only helping because it was requirement of their job. Amazing breakfasts, with mix of Chinese and Western food. Free minibar in the room. Comfy beds, very clean. There is an assortment of shops (mini-marts, restaurants, western fast-food) within a 2-minute walk that should meet the needs of most travelers. Perfect for couples or families who want a nice place to stay near Shanghai Pudong Airport, or Disneyland. A stark-contrast to the impersonal and slow service we received from the large (expensive) international hotel-chain we stayed out after checking-out of Moonlo. This made us realize just how good Moonlo was... As such, we booked Moonlo again to be close to Pudong Airport the night before we flew out of China. Will definitely book again.

Xiaoye was the most amazing host. He was so welcoming and took very good care of us. We were late arriving to hotel so he organised a beautiful takeaway dinner & drinks for us. Thank you Xiaoye, you made our stay so great! We will be back

We have selected the hotel because of the proximity to the airport and it was a wonderful surprise in all regards. The reception is decorated like a tea house and they also sell tea which we have bought - an excellent wulong from Wuyi mountains. There was a gong fu tea set in a room, loose leaf tea and wonderful snacks. For those who are not into gong fu cha there are mugs in the room. The room was spacious with very comfortable beds and tasteful design. Design in the hotel is actually very well executed in all the hotel. Very good breakfast. The staff is lovely and helpful.

Not a big problem: - could not cast content to tv or watch Netflix or something - room was clean enough, but found some hair on one towel and in the shower though

We stayed for 1 night - 15 min from airport - free shuttleservice to and from hotel - had the superior room, was superbig - good isolation, not noisy at all - stores nearby, 24h Lawson as well - super breakfast, lots of choice and vegetarian too

Boutique hotel 20mins from the airport. Our family room was huge and beautiful, bed was fantastic, finishings were unique, and buffet breakfast great! Staff were also extremely helpful for us with language translation & cash/card issues.

In the website, it mentioned there is bed for child between 1 to 3, however, when we arrived, the staff shared they only have bed for under 1 year old. Luckily, the bed is extremely large, so my 2 years old daughter could manage to sleep in our bed.

My hotel room was very clean, tidy and calming, my bed was HUGE! A great space to rest and recoup after a very long flight. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. the shuttle bus to and from the airport was so convenient and took the stress out of trying to get a cab. I wish I could of stayed longer but I will most certainly be back.

The hotel is quite extensive and currently - May 2023 - renovations are going on with the riverside rooms.

Breakfast was a pleasant surprise - good range of food - and the chef prepared us some western breakfast food especially. The restaurant is open all day and night but apart from breakfast, there's no food. But around the hotel, there are several good local Chinese places - the best being the Guangdong one on the first floor of the shopping plaza. Staff were attentive and helpful - just have to use translation apps. Also, the beer and drinks in the restaurant fridge are free all day and night. The 'Cave Room' is really great.
