The rooms on the road side of the building are very loud. Although the rooms and beds were clean there was a stink from the drainpipes. We had to request a different room because the first one we were offered smelt really bad. Air freshener didn't help much, seems like the pipes are old and need a proper cleanse.

Staff were lovely, helpful, friendly and spoke English too. They have a little dog who is very cute. The common area is full of boardgames and books and friendly travellers. Great place to meet people and a nice atmosphere. Amazing value best suited for solo travellers to Suzhou. Hot showers, and the beds are comfortable. Fantastic location as well, near to many shops and excellent restaurants, with markets down the lanes selling authentic Chinese products at discount rates. Great hostel experience overall.

The road outside the window is noisy all day. There was an unpleasant damp smell in the toilet. The light bulb did not turn off completely at night.

Hotel is placed near Line 1 of metro, so it is easy to reach all sights. The room had a kettle, towels and slippers. There was shampoo and liquid soap in the bathroom. The staff spoke English. The price was lower than that of neighboring hotels. There is an opportunity to have breakfast and lunch (I didn’t use it). The room had air conditioning (didn't use it).

Interior fittings are old, dirty and almost destroyed. Hostel definitely needs some restoration.

Sadly for me too loud to sleep - we had the room right next to the street and I'm an extremely light sleeper. We had some issues with the rooms that were taken care of and we would've stayed, if it hadn't been for the noisy street. There are rooms to the back though.

Extremely friendly owner! This is a nice place to hang out, first hostel in China I've been to, where I've actually met (by that I mean talked to for longer) other people. Excellent location, very close to all the sights. Professional and elegant handling of issues.

There was a mistake with booking so I got a room for 2 bunk beds instead of double room. It was not a problem for me at all, but then as a little gesture I would not have charged the (filter) coffee in the morning.

Breakfast, entrance hall, hotel staff speaks English and gave useful tips!

It's quite run down. Don't know how to compare it to other hostels in China, but it was dirty. On the other hand - location was great and price also good.

Hostel is close to the metro station. Biggest advantage is relaxed atmosphere and very friendly staff.

At check-in my friend's passport got ripped because the staff was probably inexperienced and struggled to use the printer. You can imagine we weren't off to a great start already. But the rooms were also not great, it was super cold too and the common bathroom was just super dirty.

The price was very good, but we definitely paid for what we got and nothing more. I would not repeat the experience.

At a trade for cheapness comes it's location. Although not a terrible location you got to didi or grab a metro to Shangtang St, and other areas. You can walk but it will take you a while.

This hostel has really good value for Suzhou, way cheaper then many of it's copetitors

Location and excellent service - most amicable receptionist cum owner! Very helpful with directions and gives good recommendations regarding food and tourists spots. Would definitely come here again.

There is a horrible smell in the room. Also, the beds in the dorms are not comfy. You can feel the wooden planks. The shared bathroom is not clean, there is moist in the showers. As well, the toilet door cannot be closed and is not cleaned often.

Staff is friendly and speaks English and It’s close to sightseeing properties.

Perfect location! Close to subway and some of the attractions! The owner was nice and friendly. We drank every night in the hostel to keep the body warm because that was winter.
